I noticed the same thing. They need to be shorter or at least be able to adjust the height for vertically challenged riders.

plastic inserts create friction preventing them from moving unless pushed or pulled. The inserts can be squeezed tighter to prevent movement. I plan on folding them flat against the passenger backrest when ryding solo.

Yes, loosen up one set screw and they will slide right out.

Yes, they have a small pouch that can be attached inside or outside the armrest. Has a zippered section and a Velcro closure section. Perfect for sunglasses or wadded up tissues

Just got off the phone with Patti, from Diamond R Accessories. What a pleasant lady! She had worked a 12 hr day and just returned my call from earlier in the day to take my order. She apologized for calling late, but I told her I was happy to get my order in as we pick up the Spyder on May 11:yes::yes:And I will be glad to have them. We had a pleasant talk about her husband Allen's designs and things to come. We ordered the chrome rails, does anyone have those ones and how do they look? How about some more info on that plate that mounts them to the bike... Do you have any pictures of it in place? How far does it stick out beyond the seat?

Doesn't stick out from the bike at all. Really nice job by Diamond R. Doesn't get in the way of anything.
