There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. For all you folks that are sitting on the fence trying to decide if you want to purchase the best and only Spyder RT adjustable armrests on the market, time is ticking away!

The Spyderfest Special that Diamond R Accessories has had going since Spyderfest 2012 will end at midnight, May 31st. They will honor the price even if they run out of the ones in stock IF you order now! $289.95 plus shipping.

Don't delay; it's the right time to purchase them so you can provide your passenger with the comfort they deserve. Besides, they look awesome even without a passenger!

My wife likes hers.
Compared the the Kuryakyn's she's traveled 20K miles with, she liked the comfort of the Diamond R's better. But they are not for any weight application. Looks are OK, but wish they had a matching Tan for the RT LTD.

I'm still on the fence about getting armrests. The price is good, but I'm still looking for the right armrest. At first my wife thought that she needed them to help hold her in place when she isn't holding the grab handles, but after riding on the spyder for a while, she thinks that she can do without them.

Also, the main reason for me buying them would be to help hold a passenger on the back. I'm thinking of someone like my grand-daughter, since my wife seems to be doing fine without them. If I'm not mistaken, there isn't an amrest for the RT right now that will do that. It is my understanding that the Diamond-R doesn't lock in place and the Corbin can break if enough weight is applied to it. If that is not correct or if anyone knows of another armrest made for the RT, please let me know.

There are no other armrest options. They serve the purpose for which they were designed, to rest your arms on. They cannot be used for any type of pulling or pushing or to support any weight other than your arms. For safety reasons and by design, they will not lock the passenger in.

I hear what you are saying about looking for the right armrests. I have some of the same views as you. Some may say there are no other options... There are always options. I would say no other options are in production YET for the RT armrest that addresses your needs. One size doesnt fit all.

If these diamond ones were spring loaded so they stayed in position, but would swing out to allow boarding.... Or maybe a little latch on the front underside of them to release from the locked position... I'm wanting something to he make sure my son stays on and give more comfort... Though he's done a large percentage of my 8000 miles without issue...

We bungee Sandi in place, so between the armrests, and the backrest, she is in her own capsule suitable for snoozing or rubbernecking. Leaving for Missouri in a couple of weeks, so that will be the big test. Pics to follow along with phase 1 of the trailer project.

Got ours installed last night... Too early for pictures, but we're certainly looking forward to a shakedown cruise with them! :2thumbs:

I understand your concerns about the locking or lack of a locking device on the armrest. We have been making armrest for 12 years now the same way. We have had some customers install their own locking device on them or as some do, they use a bungee. The majority like the idea of not being locked into place by the armrest. Even if they were spring loaded all it takes is pressure on the armrest to open them.
We are looking at a device that may work. As always we want all the opinions we can get from our customers and potential customers. As the manufacturer this is something that we will have to give more consideration.
Keep the opinions coming.

enjoy the ride
