Spyder RT 2014 Cat-Converter Bypass Pipe

The catalytic converter and muffler are about 70 #s of useless iron. I got kind of tired of my RT sounding like a big scooter. I replaced the muffler with a Two-Brothers carbon fiber muffler and got a nice improvement in sound, and looks.

I then bought a cat-bypass pipe from Spyder1Attitude. MY CanAm specialist mechanic could not get it to fit. The end that mated to the muffler was way too large in diameter to fit and shaped wrong. Well, Spyder1Attitude company was nice enough to send another pipe for no charge (for the pipe or shipping) but it was identical to the first one, would not fit.

I was still determined to get that heavy and very hot (I live in Tampa, Florida - hot 9 months of the year) source of performance robbing iron off of my RT. After a few months, I found another bypass pipe made by Lamonster Garage. When it showed up, it had smooth mandrel formed bends, beautiful welds, all stainless (not just mild steel), and FIT PERFECTLY :bowdown:. The sound is very noticeable now. I plan to make a Gopro movie of the installation with sound and post soon.

I ordered Lamonsters bypass also and yes very nice pipe.I am just waiting for my Tailgunner muffler to show up to install them both :thumbup:

I think I promised video of ours with just the bypass pipe, oem muffler.

Pretty certain I can capture both the audio you want while viewing the Speedo / RPM.

Need to do this ASAP to get it done. Got to find the old mesh style Camelback to stuff the recorder into, camera is easy since I can mount it to a goggle strap.

As you know, you can not beat Lamont's (Lamonster) products. If I get his bypass, which two brothers pipe part number do I need for my 2014 RTL to fit his bypass? Any big deal installng these two items as I always hurt myself when I pick up a pipe wrench...I bought his foot pegs....GREAT fit and comfortable.

Just to let others know, I did accomplish recording the ride devoted to capturing sound clips of the bypass setup on our 14 RTs.

Actually it worked very with one exception. The microphone was positioned near the handlebars. While you can barely hear the exhaust, the engine noise overrides the exhaust tone most of the time.

Hopefully Saturday will allow me to get a new video clip.
