Help me decide: 2019 RTL - RLS Cat Delete or RLS Crusher?

I want my bike a little louder with more "rumble", but not sharp or popping when decellerating.

I heard SpyderPop Harvey's combo of cat delete and RLS Crusher, and it was too loud for me.
Robin Bishop (are they in a relationship?) has the RLS Crusher and kept her cat, and I liked that sound plenty, and I am close to buying that....

but then ....

In watching youtube videos and even RLS's own video on his cat delete, I'm wondering if the cat delete + stock muffler is a better way to go, and will also save me some money? Seems like there are even possible performance improvements and heat reductions in the cat delete over the exhaust swap out.

I cannot find a video of this combination on a 1330 RTL, and videos don't really do sound justice on my laptop anyway, so I'd rather hear from 1st hand experience.

What do you guys think?

Also, I have narrowed it down to these two options, please don't flood this thread with comments about other brands etc.

I did the Balwin iron works delete pipe and stock muffler. It comes with a full baffle and another one also. I opted to install without any baffle and was surprised that it was not much louder at cruising speed but it sounds amazing under full load. Nothing scientific but seems to accelerate quicker especially at higher revs.

Cat delete with no baffle + OEM muffler = slightly more rumble and less heat. That's the way to go.

I've been contemplating getting the RLS cat delete, but from the videos I've seen, it can get loud when the rpm's are revved up. Kind of sounds like those little cars with those annoying mufflers. I'm being educated by videos. I haven't heard the setup in person so I'm speculating from that.

I wrote RLS asking him the same question, he said he'd recommend the cat delete as well. Looks like that's the way I'm going. Thanks all!

What is "baffle stock can"?

The baffle goes in the cat delete; the stock can is the stock muffler. You don't have to put the baffle in, it's your choice.

Thanks! I thought that's maybe what you meant. If you have a 1330 stock muffler and the RLS cat delete, what are the chances of getting you to post a vid with sound? Or describe it at idle, and when accelerating at speed? No popping, doesn't get very glassy? I very much dislike that raspy "glasspack" foreign setup sound that is popular with what we used to call "ricers" back in the day.

I have the RLS cat delete with an Akrapovic SS. I know it isn't what you are after but the RLS cat delete is awesome and you will lose a ton of weight and HEAT getting rid of the stock primary/cat... I think there are some vids of my system on my profile... Or here:

Overall, my opinion leans towards, if you run a stock muffler, and install a straight thru bypass pipe, without a resonator, it will sound decent at idle in gear, sound decent under acceleration, but can get raspy to some extent with mid to higher revs.

Based on our 1330 powered RTS that runs a stock muffler and straight bypass for almost 10 years.

Understand too, that a well ridden Spyder the computer trims over time based on how the engine is run. Also, typically, for sound tests it is not uncommon that engine management makes adjustments. Actually riding in gear and applying power can sound differently than when not moving in neutral.

Based on not wanting rasp, and likely you want the better bottom power, you likely need the RLS resonator bypass and have him preinstall the baffle. That is likely the deepest tone with stock muffler utilizing RLS products.

I looked up NY State law for modified exhausts. Unfortunately, I live in NY, and they passed a law back in '21 that states no exhausts can be modified. Now, I am not sure people are paying attention to that law since I still hear bikes and cars that have modified exhausts, but I'm not sure that I want to risk failing inspection after paying $400 for the cat delete. Can't wait to leave this state.

Not only NY law, there is a federal law regarding removal of a cat. According to my son, who is in the wholesale exhaust business, the EPA is working their way down the food chain.
