There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Spyder RS SE5 Driver Floorboard Recommendation

Hi Crisis,

I would invite you to look at my Seal FloorBoards. If you plan on doing any long rides or just want to be able to move your feet around, these might just be the answer. FYI my winter "free shipping" special ends March 31st. Also, the prices will be going up on May 2nd. to $450. I'm holding off on the increase until after SpyderFest. Steel prices just jumped 21% this mo. and are expected to keep going up.

Ride in cofort,

John

I have the sbfracing ones and they're pretty good. I often rest my heel on the orig footpeg and my toes on the floorboards. If you have big feet you might have a space problem for your toes. Check them out. They're pretty well made.

Check out rivcoproducts.com They have the best ergonomic foot position I have seen, plus the floor boards are rubber cushoned and replacable with any Harly floorboard on the market to suit your style.

I'll have to agree with tailgunner on this one. I sat on a bike at 2009 SITS that had them installed. Was going to get a pair but traded for my RTS in the meantime.

I bought some used seal floorboards and love them. They made the riding totally comfortable for me and my passenger/partner. Took less than an hour to install and sturdy. Being able to put your feet up and forward is a welcome benefit.

I decided on the Rivco product after looking at as many options as I could find.

I liked their look the most - fairly minimalist & reasonably priced. Originally I had wanted the Vertika. But, I really like the look of my SE5 & the Vertika boards are pretty substantial and would really change the Spyder's look.

Anyway - anyone with these boards or ones similar (the type linked in this thread look very similar in shape/design)?

I wanted to know if you moved your brake pedal - and, if so - what were the steps to do this? Where do you get the brake pedal and any idea on a ballpark instillation price for this type work?

I designed the floorboards that Rivco sells. I gave him the design. We did not move the brake pedal . Have had no trouble adapting to the original location for stopping. Plus we did not change the brake pedal design from original for liability reasons. Ride it a few miles and you will find no problems. My wife has 36000 miles on hers and I have 28000 miles on mine with no problems what so ever. Hope this helps.

Cool! Thanks for the info! Definitely going to try them out & see how I like the set up before deciding on the moving the brake. Just looking ahead to the potential.

I have been trying to reach Dean Smith, over the past 2 weeks, about the floorboards (for 2009 Spyder GS SE5) he makes via email and phone (both #'s). I am not having any luck getting an email reply or a return phone call. Does anyone have any other email or phone numbers for me to try? Is he still making the product? Is he on vacation or out sick? I'd appreciate any help.
Thanks
ed
