• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

SPYDER RIDER LOSES TO CANCER...

Suffering the loss of someone we care for truly hurts...hurts bad. I was talking to another spyder member today on the telephone about my brother who died almost 7 years ago and I almost wept. I believe it was C.S. Lewis who said,"we never get over losing someone we love, its not like having a sickness and we get over it, its more like an amputation, we are never the same and we are reminded of it every day."

I will be praying.

sorry for your loss,I know first hand how hard it can be to lose a friend to cancer,I lost my best friend last year to it.

Condolences

Tat, very sorry to hear about the loss of your friend, a member of our community. I'll bet everyone on this board has been touched by cancer in some way at some time. We need to keep faith that a better life awaits us after death.

PHIL - my dad

hello all,my first post....thanks for all the replies to tatt2r"s post, and thanks to you also,Jamie...my dad frequented this site often but never signed up....i am his oldest son,ray..dad passed away sunday a.m. at his home,w/ family by his side,..six short months after his diagnosis of stage 4 lung cancer,..from the onset of his diagnosis he fought like a true champ, but that "c" word is just a nasty @#$%^&* disease,he knew what was coming,he did not suffer, and did not want to go on if he could not live life to the fullest doing the things he enjoyed most ..riding his spyder was one of those many things.

he may be physically gone, but he lives forever in my heart, and is with me always as my guardian angel..i could go on forever about dad , :firstplace: !

his spyder is now for sale..as soon as i stop crying (again) i am going to his house to take some photos, get the exact mileage etc.and will post it later this week,or if interested send me a message...the bike is silver, manual trans.,and stock orig.,except for the muffler,(i also have orig one),he never took it on the highway, just enjoyed KREWZN around....
........the price will be $13,690.00 FIRM..........to cover what is owed..
someone will get a great deal, and my mother will not be forced to turn it over to the bank.

thanks again....ray

................. DAD, I LOVE YOU

Ray... I've already said it but I will say it again: My sincerest condolences to you and your family. Phil... RIP.
