• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder relays

after reading all the potential pitfalls for years on here one that ranks in the top 5 has been fuses and relays. Seems no matter what the problem the general first response is check the relays, fuses and battery connection so I went to auto zone to put together my spyder first aid kit. got an assortment of fuses and showed the sales guy one of my relays. he disappeared to the back and came out with a delco relay to match the one I gave him. 13.99 each he had two so i said I would take them both since there are about a half dozen on the spyder. The salesman also informed me that these relays have a lifetime warranty...who'd have thunk it. so I am prepared for any fuse or relay emergency that may arise. Thanks to the helpful advise I've read on here. ;)

After going through two relays in abotu four months on a 2008, I have decided to just change tehm all every 3-4 years. The headache vs cost of replacement works for me.

Well as long as you replace them with the Delco's from Auto zone you'll never have to pay for them again.

The biggest problem with relays on a Spyder is merely that the get loose. Reseating them periodically can help you avoid that. I recommend doing so at every oil change or two. Checking them after a bout of travelling rough roads doesn't hurt, either.
