• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

SPYDER REAR TRUNK

Looks nice. curious though, why not go with a smaller box since you can only put 20lbs in it? Or does it just look bigger than it is? :dontknow: 20lbs of clothes? i guess you put yours in the saddle bags...:roflblack:
For some reason the pictures make the box look so much bigger then it is LOL 20 LBS of stuff fills it so nice sleeping bags towels and clothes we love to camp when we tour

Nice job. I love to see people innovate. Be cautious about putting too much weight in that big box though. The amount of lift from the box will be magnified by the length of the bracket the box is mounted on. You could become the first Spyder to do a wheelie if you load the box too heavily. :yikes:

and I would be JEALOUS

Well we did 350 miles today everything went well will take it apart tommorow check every thing out before we do our 2200 mile round trip to Chicago coming up in July

I rode upto Laconia today with mastertek2000 and his wife, got to see the trunk first hand, very impressive. Rock solid and done very well, placed aerodynamicly behind the saddle backs, heat shielding from exhaust.

Really handy trunk, sometimes a trailers just too much and you just want that little bit of extra room, this fits the bill perfectly.

Nice, clean professional looking job.

Harry

i took everything apart yesterday all looked fine will put it back together hope to get another 200 or 300 miles on it before 2500 mile trip in July

Great Looking Mod - Way to think "with" a box - lol

 Teddy loves how creative SpyderLovers are

Well put about 1000 miles one the spyder with rear trunk installed took it apart everything looks fine in 9 days will start our 2000 plus ride

we have put over 2000 miles on bike with this mod everything is great this is perfect if you need a little more room as i did LOL

I like the idea that there are no trailer wheel bearings to repack,no need for a spare...but,I would like it wired for lights and maybe have a temporary mount for the license plate...I can't make out if that is the plate or a tag on the box....I think you can sell these!!
