• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Spyder Quest 2014. Magnificent......Again

I had a great time, how can you top that pizza oven on wheels!070.jpg To the Staff:bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:

I'll post more later, but consider me +1 on the appreciation for the Spyderquest staff. You obviously did a lot of work and planning, and it all came off seamlessly!

BTW, I haven't danced on the tables since I quit drinking!!:dg1:
obviously patti, they haven't quit yet!! glad to have met you, and glad you had a good time!!:2thumbs:

It's hard to believe but the SpyderQuest team made this event even better than last year. Deb and I had a great time and we will definitely be back for 2015. We also made out like bandits in the farkle Bingo and that was the icing on the top. We met some great people and some old friends. Hope to see everyone next year. A special thanks to Dwight and Val. You two are a riot.:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

SPYDERQUEST TEAM, YOU ROCK!!!!!!

TricWing

Anyone get a picture of the Honda Spyder. Awesome machine. Wonder what the price tag on that puppy was :yikes::dontknow:

:yikes: a Wing converted to a Spyder...saw it nojoke it was. But, I also saw a video on the making if it...:yikes: it was a tough job to do. Don't know the costs, but only reason I can see to do it is because you already have the Wing. Otherwise, :spyder:is the way to go.

SpyderQuest was amazing :)
Even without our Spyder with us due to a DPS issue - we had a great time until we had an emergency and had to leave Friday night unplanned.

Anyways -

I just wanted to take a minute and write a few Thank yous. First Thank you is to all the organizers of SpyderQuest. A big thank you to Randy who made us feel extremely welcome and thanked us for coming even without our Spyder. We were happy to :)

While we were there we enjoyed seeing everyone and it was wonderful. A great event.

The biggest thanks goes to Pierre and SpyderTV who made our Friday :) BRP should be extremely thankful for the work you do. If you ever in NH and want a place to stay, or to see my bike with the wheelchair rack - door is ALWAYS open to you.

Update on our Spyder: Our Spyder is still in the shop with DPS issue and will be until we hear differently.

Now for the bad news - an explanation of our emergency and having to leave and miss
Sat/Sunday events: ( I want everyone to know we didn't leave because the event was bad, etc... It was wonderful ) .....

On Friday evening around 8:00 pm we got a phone call from our dog boarder - our two dogs had run away from her home. We decided due to the fact that no one could find them we needed to leave for home immediately - so we left at 10:00pm driving non stop until we reach NH at 2:45 am. We after an hour of searching found our dog Cooper ( beagle) but as of tonight we still have not found our 11lb Chihuahua/ mini grey hound mix who is just a year old. She has been missing for over 48 hours. We have searched, contact local pd and fire, put up 500 flyers, alerted microchip company, had 20-30 people doing wood searches, posted to craigslist, and contact granite State Dog recovery who have also been helping in the efforts. It is a very rural wooded area - large watershed so we are hoping she finds her way back to the boarder.

We have slept very little and are extremely worried. It has been a horrendous few days.

I'm sorry we didn't get to say goodbye to our friends and hosts of SpyderQuest in person. We wished that we didn't have to go but our dogs are our kids... And my EMS animals. We needed to find them.

Please keep your fingers crossed for us.

Last year's Spyderquest was our first event of any kind also. We had such a great time we came again this year and will definitely go again next year if they continue. What a huge job it is to organize and execute something this size. If it does continue I can foresee this great event growing even more ! A little intimidating from a planning perspective I'm sure.

Kris and i are still waiting. Karen is going to call brp this morning to see if they'll cover p
arts. Even at that, it will be tomorrow. Ineed an oil change mine but the tech won't be in until tomorrow. Fru

I got back from Spyder Quest yesterday . . . I'm so glad I went! It was great . . . and the scenery around Lake George is spectacular. My thanks to all who worked so hard to set things up. It was really great to meet so many folks who I previously only knew from SpyderLovers and facebook. The new Kumho Ecsta AST performed very well . . . I rode almost to the Canadian border on I-87, Thursday, in pouring rain and 40 to 50 knot gusting winds (there was a high wind warning in effect) . . . I had heard folks talk about it hydroplaning, so I gave it a torture test. It held steady up to about 70MPH . . . and then felt just a bit squirrelly . . . but I think that was because I had a death grip on the grips and one arm was fighting the other. At 65 it felt great. I'm running 29 lbs in it. The folks from Netzley Tire balanced my front tires for me and showed me a bit of rounding on both sides. I'd been running 16, and they suggested I up my pressure to 20, so I did. It rode great on the two day trip home.
