Spyder pricing (looking for my first) - which do you think is the better deal?

I recently purchased a (month ago) an F3 limited Special from Fremont Motorsports in Florence Colorado. They said warranty starts when you buy it. They also took it off their inventory online immediately. They have a better deal for a 2024 than what you are looking at, with only 600 miles. 2024 Can-Am Spyder RT Limited $24,999. I shipped mine to me and it was a beautiful specimen. Mine had 600 miles roughly as well. Look it up online. I worked with Ryan who was very knowledgeable with Spyders. Might just ask for him. See if he will also give you an oil change and filter.

After owning a Spyder for 10+ years and knowing what I know now, if I were to buy another Spyder, I'd search the internet for a low mileage model of my choice. There are some excellent used Spyders out there for very good asking prices. I'd make a deal over the phone and in short, I'd grab my helmet, catch a flight, buy it, and ride it home.

Thanks, I see the demo on their website. My price above was OTD, so it depends on their fees on top of the $24,999. Do you know what their fees are?

Hey 2dogs ...I just received mine a month ago and that is exactly what I was going to do but couldn't get a block of days off so had it transported which was cheaper in the long run but missed having the adventure. Also looks like we are both in Redding roughly.

Good question. There was absolutely no mark up. I paid them exactly what they advertised. Good luck in your search and keep us posted.

So those of you who have bought from iMotorsports, when it came time for service or warranty work from your local dealer, were there any issues because you bought from them?

I bought one from iMotorsports. They are easy to deal with and they brought it to me in Fargo, North Dakota.

Same here April '23. No dicking around with hidden add ons. Brought my left over '22 right to my door. 24K on it now and I use same dealer that Jay mentioned above for service.

I would not think service should be an issue, they get more from servicing your bike than they will selling it in the long run!

I bought my F3 from them this past May.

I personally, would not take my Spyder back to them for service, or for any reason. If you'd like to know why ask me with a PM. I'd rather not have my post deleted if I can help it. Heck, this post will probably get deleted anyway.

I think that Foundryrat was asking if anyone had issues with their local dealers (who are NOT iMotosports) doing any service or warranty work & the like on those Spyders that'd been bought elsewhere, ie. from iMotosports... or are you talking about those dealers that've been mentioned earlier for servicing?? :dontknow:

That said, even tho it might be a little off the thread's stated topic of 'Spyder Pricing - which is the better deal?', you still should be able to tell people why you wouldn't take your bike back to whoever for servicing if you feel it warranted & following the thread of the discussion sufficiently, just so long as you make sure you follow the Forum Rules in your posting - see the Green Forum Rules link in the menu line immediately below the Home line. :lecturef_smilie:

Yes,I was asking about taking it to local or different dealer other than Imotorsports for service.

I bought two F3L's from iMoto. Fortunately for me, I had NO mechanical issues with either. I used Spyderpops and Lamonster Garage for my oil changes, tires, and accessory installs. Neither vendor is an "official" Can Am Spyder dealer.

I do feel that most people would NOT run into issues taking their Spyders to an "authorized" dealer that is closer than iMoto. A dealer makes more money from servicing the Spyders than selling the Spyders. iMoto is able to have good pricing because they know that for most sales it is "one, and done." They are far enough away that most would not come back to them for issues or servicing.

There may be a rare instance where an authorized dealer has a burr under their saddle because you did not purchase from them. That is their problem and they probably have the issues that we tend to hear frequently about so called "bad" dealers.

Yep, the adventure part can be both good and not so good, depending on your stress meter. I would not suggest that approach if you were on a limited time frame and a tight budget.

Just my opinion.. but over all on a limited machine, the F-3 limited would cover, unless you want a few more bells and whistles. I have found that the F-3 does everything that the RT limited does, but I found the F-3 more comfortable, sitting more in it, rather than on it.
