The term Spyder (sometimes Spider in Italy) is a European term for a two-seater convertible or targa top (equivalent to "roadster" in American English) implying a more rugged ride and less space than in a saloon (equivalent to sedan in American English). Also, Spyder is the model name for a three-wheeled motor vehicle manufactured by Can-Am.

And this is the only kind that I care to see.

I like the patch and the spider. Would you consider making a smaller version? Really proud to be an American Legion Rider and wear that on the back of my vest. I could always find a place for a smaller version tho. Just a thought.

We will be doing 3 different color patches, one with Red Spyders, Silver, and Yellow. The first one is shown in silver for design input and feedback purposes only.

And because the Silver looks the best.... :thumbup:

Rockytime is right. I have some backround on this. A 3 piece patch is a statement, it doesn't matter that it wasn't your intent to make one. This is serious biz for some folks. No need to overhaul the design, just keep it one piece.

Being a full-patch member of the US Military Vets MC, the 3 piece patch is normally okay as long as it doesn't reflect a territory...state, region, etc. The 1%ers covet their territory

For sure ditch the spider--- I hate the relation of 'spider' to 'spyder'. I'd ditch the webbing too as it clutters things up.

Is the center SPYDER going to be an actual photo like shown - or an embroidered version? I think using a photo makes it look cheesy-- go embroidered.

As far as the 3 patch idea--- :2thumbs:. Make the top and bottom and then various different center ones. Screw anyone that has some beef with how many parts make up MY patch on MY jacket. If someone's paying THAT much attention to MY patch on MY jacket--- they're a bit strange to begin with.

The hardcore guys that would have an issue don't give the Spyder the time of day anyway - they actually go out of their way to even acknowledge the Spyder-- won't even look over at one. Seen it a few times and makes me laugh.

Mark, I think Spyderlovers all have opinions about what they like, dislike, want and don"t want as you can tell by all the posts. I think the wanted poster shirts would be a big hit! Hope to see them soon. I'd go for one of the regular size (for me) and one for the smaller size, if available, for my Yorkie.

Hello Everyone,

Working on this new patch for jacket backs and SpyderLovers everywhere.

The preliminary mockup is here for viewing, of course we still have to digitize this and make it even purtier.

The thought is to size this at about 10 1/2" wide x 9 3/4" high, or if you're left-handed, 26.67cm long x 24.77cm tall, That should work for most leathers and jacketbacks.

We plan on doing this on in 3 colors: yellow, silver, and of course fiery red.

Let us know if you like it as is, or have a wonderful idea on how to make it even more fantabulous.

Is there a reason why CAN-AM is not included in the patch? Can be a background logo. Just a suggestion.
