• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Can someone explain the difference please, I'm sure I have the GS model service documents say RS.
No mention of GS here below.

As I see it..!!

The biggest difference was changing the "G" to an "R". Maintenancewise they are basically the same from 08- to date. Some belt tension differences some exhaust changes cosmetics etc.

The 2008's were called GS. I had one of those. The 2009 carried the designation RS. I also had one of those.

BRP was referring to the :ani29: as a Roadster more in those days.

I am thinking that is why they changed from GS.

RS--Roadster Sport
RT (2010)--Roadster Touring
RTS--Roadster Touring Special--that version had everything on it in 2010--Premier--special edition.

The only thing that changed was the nameplate.

GS Gee... this is Sporty
RS Really Sporty
RS-S Really EXTRA Sporting
RT Really for Touring
RTS Really for Touring, 'Specially with more goodies

There was a lawsuit with Mitsubishi over the original "Spyder GS" name, as Mitsubishi already had a car out by that name. Settled by BRP changing "GS" to "RS."
