I've had my 2009 GS SM5 since new, with all the recalls up to date and have had no problems until the other day. I was just pulling into a parking space and the engine just quit (no misfire or anything)
VSS Fault and Check DPS scrolled across the guage, but did NOT display Limp Mode at any time.
I turned off the key and then turned it back on and Spyder started right up and I finished parking. I drove around and started and stopped at several places without any trouble and then it did the same thing while idling at a traffic light. Again I turned off the key, turned it back on and everything was fine. It happened 3 more times that day all while either sitting idling or just after taking off from a stop. Never went into Limp Mode and never failed at any speed over about 5 MPH. No active faults show except when it happens and they are always the same.
I have checked the battery connections at the battery and also at the other terminals , had a load test done on the battery and all are good . Also checked all fuses and relays to make sure they were seated , again all good.
Has anyone ever had this happen to them or does anyone have any suggestions as to what could be causing it ???
