• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder Headlights are Great!

First time I had mine out after dark, (don't like riding in the dark at all) damn, the headlights are great. Lights up the road better than my Ram 1500, I was impressed. Doesn't mean I now like night riding, LOL.

When I had the 2012 RTL I put a set of Lamonster's LEDs in the bike, and I use to run them on high beams all night long and never had anyone come towards me ask for low beams, but I could see the road just fine and off into the ditch! The headlights on the 2025 at high beams are like holly crap let's land a plane bright and I get people flashing their lights if I put the low beams at them!!

Not sure what they are other than being LED. Here's a couple pics if anyone can tell me.
The actual headlight low beams are the best, long distance, great side to side, and brilliant white coverage. The high beams, although bright, are quite... ahhh, 'liney', if that makes sense? You can see maybe half a dozen arcs in the beam on the road surface at varying distances out. They're both bright white, but the high is too diffused and lights up for a long distance, as if they're aimed too far out... maybe they are? LOL.
The aftermarket driving lights (I presume they are aftermarket?) light up a general area, but not for any great distance.

All three Spyders I've had (a '20, a '22, & a '24) had the low beams set to the low end of the specs. I re-aimed all three bikes to the upper end of the specs, which made a very positive result.
