• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Good Morning All

A couple of questions first I'm doing my research on getting a SPYDER F3-S SPECIAL SERIES. So what first what is the break in period for the engine and drive train plus when is the first service. And what are some of the mods I should look into doing Thanks All

READ THE MANUAL, the complete manual from start to finish. Break in time, first and every service intervals.....ALL COVERED.

Mods required....NONE...until you’ve put a few thousand miles on, and then you’ll know, and appreciate much more.

Second all the above, Read the manual, get a few thousand miles under your belt, then start modding, Spyder is quite capable, right out the box, but there will always be personal thingies, you would want to chane

First service 3000 miles. Break-in 600 miles, no hard braking for first 200 miles. As for mods, more lights are always a good thing. First thing I did to my 22 F3 Limited Special was add the Spyclops LED. Very simple added visibility for just over 50 bucks!

If you're getting a brand new F3-S SS, you will need to plan on getting a windshield as it only comes with a little gauge spoiler. Also get a set of middle pegs - makes it so much easier to mount and dismount the bike. And if you weigh more than 175 pounds I recommend an aftermarket rear shock and spring set up for your weight.
