• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder F-3T questions

Guys, I been looking at a new 2016 F3-T. I was wondering if the 1330 engine was louder without all the heat shields that my 2013 RT Limited has on it? Is it easer to change oil and filters since you don't have all the plastic under and around the motor? I need my feet out in front of me, so the new system of sliding your petals out should work better for me! Yes or No? would you get the manual
6 speed or auto? What kind of gas mileage can I expected? Does it have a heat problem on your body any place like the foot warming on the right side of my 2013?
Thanks for your answers, my dealer can't answer them for me!

Yikes...!!

You need a new dealer...
The engine is quieter that the V-twin
Oil changes are easier and much less often
You can adjust your foot pegs to suit you
I would get the manual...
Mileage will vary I see from 33 to 40
No heat issues like the V-twins...

:spyder: test ryde one to confirm the above....

I have an F3 Limited. Surprisingly, there's a little heat on both my feet. Not like the heat that was on the V-twins, but heat all the same. You know it's there. I can only assume it's because it's all open.

The F3 is a little louder than the RT. And I'd go with the semi-automatic.

For real

:banghead:I don't know but the OP just purchased a like new 2013 RT Limited less than a month ago according to a different post and now off to the F3. :bdh: If you are truly looking at the F3 and are at the same dealer who now can't answer certain performance questions about the F3 and sold you an RT after running 3 year old fuel thru it to the point of clogging the injectors - I would run away from them fast because obviously they like hearing your wallet flap. I am afraid next they will tell you the F3 can't be adjusted for your leg comfort ... SMH. I hope you know the value of what you are purchasing ... and not paying MSRP to those clowns.:banghead:

F3-T 2016

I went the SE-6 because I have Carpal Tunnel, the clutch is a hard pull on the manual and I was afraid it would aggravate the problem. My first Spyder was 2008 GS manual 5 speed. I thought I would miss not having to shift but the paddle is just as fun, and in heavy traffic I don't miss it at all.

I also have a F-3 Limited, you are on target, I do feel some heat on my feet, and it is a bit louder than my previous RT.
