• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How's your DPS treating you?

i never understood why so many reads and few answers. Im assuming it's mutliple views from the same users adding the numbers up too.

I know 10 of the views are mine, checking to see if the numbers have increased any since the last time I checked. I am probably not the only one. :D

Ahh--- didn't know it RE-counted the same person viewing it multiple times.

Oh well... it is what it is....

not enough choices............
Can't be changed now...... sorry you feel no need to be counted in this 'unscientific' poll. Guess we'll just always have to add '1 more' in the un-fixed column manually---- no problem as we're obviously going to miss many that ARE 'fixed'.

You're hung up on the semantics of it, which is just silly. You don't consider your Spyder fixed in the sense you won't ride or allow it to be ridden. In general terms you don't consider it fixed. It's really as simple as that.

the results are probably tallied by Acorn..:yikes:

You forgot to add "Tip the waitstaff and try the veal on Thursdays...." :roflblack:

BTW--- viewing this thread multiple times doesn't increase the views... still stuck at 148... so it would appear there HAS been 148 unique viewers.

In my words-not yours........Listen slowly-

I don't consider it fixed, I don't consider it not fixed. I'll let BRP tell me where it stands, not you.

It really is as simple as that........

Well, it's obvious you would rather nitpick minor semantics than actually participate in a constructive poll that may shed some light on things.

No harm, no foul... but sure seems counter-productive to me.

I have already voted on this poll (Late model 08 SM with DPS problems not fixed) I would like to add another (but of course can't) for a non forum member (08 PE model SM with DPS problems not fixed) Lets not forget that not everyone that owns/has a spyder are forum members so I guess this poll will only give a view of this forums problems or not, fixed or not. Keep this DPS poll open over the next few weeks and see how the numbers change. Spring/Summer just around the corner and more and more spyders coming out of their winter webs.

Yup-- I realize it's only a small sampling... and I left it open-ended....just trying to get some kind of idea of how many--- and what years.

Bump.....

Numbers sure point to 2008 units being more problematic.

Thanks for those voting... hopefully we can get some more data.....

Firefly,

I can't answer your poll because none of the above reflect my situation, yet. Late last year as I posted on here at that time, I thought I had experienced a DPS malfunction. The Spyder began to drift left, as I tried to bring it back from crossing the center line it seemed to not respond. As I put more pressure on the handle bars to get it back it all of a sudden jerked to the right. I took it to my dealer to get it checked out and have the extension hose put on my evap canister. They told me the Spyder was fine because it didn't throw up any codes. I also didn't get the hose on the evap canister because my VIN# wasn't on the list for the update. They delivered my Spyder after the first snow came and I haven't ridden it since.

No problem--- if you're not sure--- don't vote..... thanks!

After taking my spyder in for the update the first time, I had bad surging and stuff..since then that has been fixed...so my 08 is fixed.

So far there is only one 2010 Spyder listed.... which is an RT-S model. I would also note that it appears that user had DPS fault codes and not necessarily any steering lockup. Perhaps they can chime in with the details if they see fit.
