• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder downshifting when throttle backed off 3rd thru 6th no matter the speed - anyone else? Any suggestions?

I have a 2017 RT with 35,000 miles, I am the original owner. All maintenance is up to date including a recent new battery, bike has been completely trouble free since new. Today, I made a quick stop for gas, restarted the bike without needing to press the mode button, and left the gas station. The bike began downshifting as soon as I slightly backed off the throttle in 3rd thru 6th gear no matter what the speed. This happened even though the RPM's were high enough to go to the next higher gear. I pulled over and shut the bike off for a few moments, restarted the engine, pushing the mode button first, and then all was fine. I rode about an hour with another short stop and with no further issues. Has anyone experienced anything like this? Any suggestions?

This may sound odd but check your battery connections. Strange gremlins appear if not solid & clean.
Thank you so much. I think you nailed it! I found the ground cable was slightly loose and the star lock washer rusty, so I cleaned and tightened everything. The bike seems to start quicker and shifting was all good during a 40 mile ride.
