• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder Dealer Updates-Closings - GPS List

No, nothing to do with cell phones. I've hated them since they took over our local phone company. The people I know who work there get treated like cr@p, their customer service absolutely sucks here, they keep sneaking hidden fees on the bills for my land line and I have to constantly call them to scold them (not nicely) for that. If HDX didn't need a fax line, I'd eliminate those SOB's all together and just stick with our cell service.

I used to feel the same way. I have boycotted anything to do with At&T for the past 10 years at least. I guess I wanted an iphone more than I wanted to hold a grudge. I have to tell you, I am glad. They have come a long way. We have had nothing but good experiences with the two AT&T stores we have visited and so far very good reception and internet network just about everywhere we have traveled and this includes our trip to CA and back.

Um, care to elaborate? that would be cool!
There are people selling the iphone "unlocked" which means you can use the iphone on any network. They are getting upwards of $600 and more on ebay just for the phone with no plan.

I'll cringe if AT&T loses the iPhone and Verizon takes over. We've had problems with Verizon the two or three times we've tried them. Nextel / Sprint has been good for us and I'd love an iPhone with direct connect capabilites. For the month or two that we've had AT&T and the iPhones, we've been happy.

I don't think they would switch, I think they would just allow more companies to offer the iphone as equipment. This would put some competition into the plan pricing though.

Yup - they won't just drop people already using them on AT&T----- then again---- it is AT&T we're talking about!

It won't work on a CDMA like Verizion. That will have to be some major changes to the iphone or to Verizion for this to work. I looked into it pretty hard before getting the iphone. The iphone uses a SIM card and if you have a Jailbroke phone you can swap the SIM cards. Verizion dosen't use SIM cards.

I will say the coverage was great all the way down I40 with only one or two dead spots that I can remember. A few times Ron had no service with Verizion when AT&T was strong. I don't think there are any perfect phone companies but I may have the perfect phone now. :doorag:

:agree:
iPhone has changed things for me. I was going to get a lap top but I do most all of what I'd do on one on the iPhone. + every now and then I call people on it. ;)

:yikes: I hate hearing all these nightmares about Verizon -- Alltel (my carrier) was purchased by them. I am already runnig into problems with their network. It is a shame that companies don't pay more attention to customers -- good customer service is the key.

I am VERY interested in this list and/or the file for the Garmin for our cross-country trip coming up in about 7 weeks. Please forward this information to me at [email protected].

You guys rock!!!!!!!

On the subject of cell service, I have been fairly happy with my AT&T service. I HATED the customer service through Sprint and I dropped them several years ago and went to Cingular (now AT&T). I have the iPhone and I am very happy with it. For me it's about customer service... something AT&T has and Sprint does not.

I want one but I hate AT&T so won't be getting one until their contract runs up with them and I can keep Sprint. Our phone guy here at work who gives all the execs their blackberries said contract runs out this year and Apple probably won't be exclusive to AT&T so I'm just waiting.
I hate Sprint :ohyea::ohyea:Thanks Firefly :ani29:

That would be cool if you guys get it going and maybe do a "How To" on loading it to the Garmin.

No problem---- I had planned on doing some how-to instructions - it's pretty easy to load.

I'll also make a smaller version of the BRP PDF and you guys with I-Phones can load it and let me know anything you might want changed.

With Ken's help we can get the GPS one out even sooner!
