• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder crash

Got rear ended at a traffic light by a AAA truck. Driver didn’t see that the light turned red, hit me at full speed without breaking. The Spyder held up to the hit well. Going to the dealership tomorrow to see how much damage there is. Hopefully it’s fixable. 60918D1B-2ABF-42B6-8357-37F4592F68CE.jpgDA90CA74-98EC-4EBC-8CE3-64FB8246CD25.jpg0B93F8B6-044B-4069-BD29-66AC98689F0F.jpg

WOW! You're very fortunate to walk away unhurt and amazing that the Spyder fared so well.

I probably shouldn't ask, but........I'm going to anyway. Did AAA give you a free tow?

Make sure that EVERY INCH of the bike is inspected and tested. A lot of potential for hidden damage that will cause issues later. Been there, done that, but no T-shirt

ooouch!!!

Hate to read those titles..:yikes: really glad your posting and are alright ..As mentioned , make sure they check frame alignment, swingarm assembly bushings and bearings etc. Good thing the low pressure tire takes the blow...check that rim...:lecturef_smilie:

My rear end accident cost them 4K and it took almost 2 months to get it out of the dealership.
Do make sure they check the frame. Test all of your electrical switches too. My hazard lights went bad with the impact I guess ($400.00 part).

Glad to hear you walked away unhurt.

Glad you are okay

I'm glad you are okay. I hope you have a good servicing dealer to handle your repairs.

WOW! You're very fortunate to walk away unhurt ...

No, no, NO! He's not unhurt. He's obviously delirious from all the pain and hasn't spoken to his attorney yet.

Just kidding. I hope you are all right. As a retired lawyer from back in the days when lawyers were professionals, I just abhor today's ambulance chasers.

There is a story that I like. All the kids in kindergarten were telling the class what their daddies do for a living. Little Johnny says, "My daddy plays piano in a whorehouse." The teacher was shocked and called Johnny's dad to ask him if that was true. Johnny's dad said, "Well, I told him that but it's not true. I'm actually a lawyer but how can you tell something like that to a child who loves and admires you?"

Glad to hear you walked away and hope you're still feeling alright today!
Spyder can be repaired or replaced...
Ryde safe everyone!

:yikes: Glad to hear you didn't end up in the ER (or worse!). Best wishes on the Spyder repair and your return to the road!

Glad to hear that you survived to fight another day!
Frame, Swingarm, rear hub, and all of the bodywork... Good luck!

Praise the Lord you’re ok

God was watching over you for sure ..!! A lot of folks are way too distracted these days. I will never understand why that text msg. Is so important to people that they just can’t help themselves but to need to address it immediately while operating a vehicle. Now this may not have the case here but it sure is nation wide today ..! Glad your ok ..!

You said the Spyder held up well but how did you hold up? I sure hope you’re okay and that tge Spyder frame is not bent, it doesn’t take much to bend them.

This will take TIME

Super glad your OK, I am betting your Spyder will be at the dealer for a good chunk of riding season....
I would tell the insurance company you want them to pay for a rental while yours is in the shop.
Don't take NO for an answer.
Ride Safe
Dave
