I like the 1/2 cover b/c it takes up very little room in the trunk. I got to believe the outside cover takes up quite a bit more space and when traveling space is at a premium. But, I guess if you're only going to work, then the outside cover may be the way to go.

That is an excellent point. For travel considerations the outside cover does take some room. But I have the technique down pretty well now so it's pretty automatic. And I can can get it compressed pretty small! I just like that fact the whole bike is covered. But there is a lot of merrit in these half covers for when you are on the road and space is precious.

I obviously haven't taken a long trip yet so that was just inexperience talking! But I still think I'd take the oustide cover. I'm a bit attached to it now!

The outdoor cover for the RS is a bit big and bulky. It will fit into a 7"x15" (camping) stuff sack, though. That fits in the trunk or a Givi bag easily, or straps on top of your seat...even with camping gear. It will even fit in the BRP seat bag.

I was wondering if anyone has come up with a different way to cover there:spyder2: from the HOT SUN, I take it to work and it sets in the sun all day, sooner or later the sun will damage the paint and vinyl. I know BRP has a outside cover. Is there anything else. Has anyone made a cover and would like to share the knowledge. ray: Thanks, John (2766)

Here is a great Nelson Rigg cover that works well and won't break the bank. $25.00 .The XXL size covers everything but the front wheels including tall shields and saddle bags.

Being a full time RV'er and currently without a garage, I use the big travel cover that came with the RT and I bought a pair of these http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/product/black-tyre-gards/4921 that I found at Camping World. They have a soft felt lining that does not scratch the finish of the fenders.. I use a larger size to cover my RV tires and they have always worked great.. so for $25 bucks they were worth a try..
