There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BTW, I found this bike on the internet couple weeks ago and asked info about it on other forums as I was hunting for spyder alternatives.
I could not find anything good about it, except somebody saying trashing everything and keep the frame to build his own custome bike.
This bike is only 250cc.

I still can't get over the price tag. When photos of these were first released they were saying they would sell for $1,200--- like their other 'expensive' bikes.

I got to tell you, for $1400 I would buy one of these just to have.
Yeah-- I think that was their idea. Not street legal--- so pretty much for display or to tinker with.
Pretty sure when I looked them up a year ago-- the $1,400 included shipping !
If the Roteka trike was in the $1,400 range they might get some tinkerers interested. I think it would be cool to convert it to electric.....

I saw the chinese spyder last week also. I thought it was interesting. It had a $5k price on it but the lady said it sold for $4k Already negotiating:yikes:

It is likely that the bike is laced with lead paint and emits more than usual amounts of carbon monoxide. In addition, it is probably assembled poorly so that it'll fall apart at its highest speed. The bike is also dangerous for your pets and powdered milk! Once they find who is responsible for this in China, they'll kill that ONE person and say all is fine now!! hehe!!

The engines in these Chinese bikes are pretty reliable - if all the planets have aligned properly during assembly; it's everything else that's the problem - mom and pop shops turn out everything from brake calipers to to carburetors, all based upon a common design, but quality control from one shop to another is nearly non-existent. Plastics are usually brittle and prone to break at the slightest incident, welds like to crack, the wiring is very poorly done, especially when mods are made to meet US standards for lighting. Lots of electrical tape.
Minor changes from one shop to another sometimes make the parts non-interchangeable and so difficult to get true matching repair parts. Some manufacturers (more like assemblers or integrators) have their own QA and purchase parts only from shops that meet their standards... others buy from anyone. It's pretty hit and miss.
I have bought a total of 7 of these types over the last couple of years, all at low price because the owners couldn't get them to run. I fixed and kept the three that were of the best quality, and fixed and gave away the others.

I'm sorry...but all I can say is POS...you can wrap it up, dress it up, clean it up, wax it up, fix it up...it doesn't matter...it ain't gonna last, period! Sure, the Chinese love to reverse engineer any and everything they can get their hands on...doesn't mean they're very good at it...

Yep, POS - just like everything else they make. Probably kill ya, like their toothpaste, baby formula, and steak on a stick which is really meow meow. Not sayin the meow meow thing to be mean but it really happens - we got a restaurant across the street from us at work and they've been written up for cats!
