Was on a short trip to the tail of the dragon, from Michigan. About 19 miles from Kentucky , my bike was stuck in 4th gear. Was able to shift back to neutral and reinstall shifting mechanism , that came off! A few more miles it happened again! Looked up on my GPS that came with bike for closest dealer, showed two, both about 90 miles away! Called the one in Kentucky , phone number disconnected ? I then opened the Spyder AP that I had installed on my phone. There was a dealer 10 miles away ! They checked it out and determined that the groves on the shaft was worn and would require a engine removal to install a new shaft! Had them reinstall clamp, using red lock tight , was able to get home, and have my dealer try to repair under warranty !
BOTTOM LINE the AP was more accurate and up to date! Recommend everyone to down load if they have a smart phone! Will try to update GPS , with info also!,
