• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder Attitude Mufflers

Has anyone put these mufflers on with the by-pass pipe and had trouble hearing their radio/intercom/ipod in their helmets? I'm using the Sena system, both dongle and headsets and there is no way to increase the volume levels on the headsets above factory settings (as far as I know). I can access the units on my laptop, but there is no option for volume adjustment. I've placed a cushion behind the ear pieces within the helmet and then put the piece of liner over them. Can't tell it has improved the sound level at all. Any suggestions? My wife is asking me to put the original muffler back on the bike and remove the Spyder Attitude mufflers.

Thanks,
Steve

After riding immediately behind two exhaust tricked Spyders for quite a distance on the guided rides at Spyderfest I side with your wife -- and I'm darn hard of hearing and wear ear plugs to boot.:gaah:

Increasing the sound of your exhaust will make it harder to hear other things. Kind of like loud music in a bar makes it hard to have a conversation. I think they call it "logical" and predictable.

LOUD PIPES SAVE LIVES

they say that LOUD PIPES SAVE LIVES....
but they also IRRITATE THE DAYLITES OUT OF ENTIRE NEIGHBORHOODS...
mellow is better... i've created a couple dozen altered OEM, some completely emptied, other with glass packs mufflers imbedded, some with baffles, some without... some loud, some with a nice rubble... and i've had the same issues with my SCALA G9 head-set... so i'm back to the OEM on my RS.... and have NO desire to change the one on my F3....
and i'm with your wife too...

I run the Akropovich with out baffolds and am still not half as loud as my wifes Harley with Vance Hines. We can still communicate fine with the Scalarider.
