What Are Your Favorite Bluetooth Ear Buds? Late Model Spyder Owners...

After picking through the advice given in the thread about BT helmets and using that to further my research, I talked to a few long-time FL riders. Nobody wears anything more than a half helmet here for good reasons. Heat stoke being the big one.

So I had to look at half helmet BT reviews, etc. None of those were very impressive. If someone has a great BT solution for a half helmet, I'm listening. But...

Now I'm interested in hearing everyone's experience-based opinions about BT ear buds, other than Apple. In particular, if you have experience with BRP GO, BRP Connect + BT ear buds, I'd really appreciate your 2 cents on the subject. I can always just pair them to my Samsung Galaxy and get everything I actually want (TBT direction audio and music, with calls and msgs only in emergency or RVZ situations).

I use Bose Quiet Control 30 wireless.

These are the collar type but I find that works better as the battery lasts much longer and the ear part is smaller so easier under a helmet.

If the earbud comes out as your taking off your helmet its not going to fall on the ground as its attached to a cable to the collar.

They are noise cancelling which makes a huge difference to the volume you need to have them at - so your not going to be damaging your hearing trying to hear music etc over wind/engine noise. Has an app for phones you can use to control noise cancelling, volume etc. If your wearing a open face then the volume control on the cable are just about controllable with summer gloves on.

As I mentioned in the other thread, I can't add anything specific about BRP Connect or BRP Go, but if you want High Quality BT sound & comms, phone etc, along with ambient noise suppression, you could do a whole lot worse than check out the UClear Digital offerings - I've used the earlier/older versions of their kit for years, & lately, upgraded to their Motion 6 in all the helmets I wear, regardless of the sport/activity/helmet style:

If you want to answer the phone while riding you're gonna need to talk and be heard. Earbuds won't do that as they're in behind all the padding. It's why we have bluetooth headsets with boom mikes or Uclear's mikes in the top of the forehead foam.

I've had Uclear and Cardo as well as Sena and Sena's speakers suck. I found a video of a test comparison between Cardo and Sena and Cardo beats big time. Wouldn't bother with earbuds because they have to be in the ear and can start hurting after a while.

There are number of 1/2 helmet ear pads that help allow Communication Headsets. Maybe more viable than just earbuds:dontknow::lecturef_smilie:
