• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder 2015 f3s se6

I'm a new Spyder rider. The trike is an absolute blast! There is a learning curve for me. I hope to take longer trips by the time the warm weather returns in the spring. I could use some direction regarding fluid checks : battery, oil, antifreeze, etc. Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks, Dave

Welcome to the forum, and the world of :spyder2: ryders. Coming from the 2-wheel environment, myself, I had some "unlearning" to do too. But it's part of the fun, and really doesn't take that long to get acclimated to 3 wheels. Just don't push too hard at first, but keep pressing a little more with each of those first excursions. Soon your mind and body will quit trying to "balance" the thing - and then the fun really begins.

I got mine late in the year too, so am really looking forward to warmer weather when it can come out from under the cover and the tender.

Enjoy the new ride...

.:congrats:...:welcome:....I have the same engine and unlike the V-twin , the 1330 uses no oil.....I have never added any between changes yet, nor have I added anti-freeze......but do check that occasionally......The battery I keep on a maintainer, although it's probably not necessary because it has a great charging system.........Enjoy.....Mike

There is post for new owners that I found very helpful.. Search that it has everything. Welcome and enjoy.

Congratulations

Congratulations from the UK on your new Spyder :yes::yes:. Looking forward to seeing pics of your Spyder.

Hiya "19"! :D
Believe it or not; the owner's manual should be your bestest friend right now... nojoke
Like Mike: I've never had to add oil, coolant, or brake fluid. But that doesn't mean that you can get away with not knowing where they've hidden the stuff!
Whereabouts in PA are you? I've got a bunch of family and friends in the North Wales, to Narberth area...
(And the Joisey side of the river too!)

Congrats on the new trike, if you were a two wheel rider going to three like me, watch your lane position. The wife got on the head set first trip out and said
to keep all three wheels in my own lane. I was just doing the line I have road for 45 years and forgot I was on three. I would recommend the F4 customs windshield. Put one on my F3 makes for less stress on long trips. We got the F3 in early spring and it has been a very good ride no issues at all. I would suggest try to get to one of the rallies for Canam you can learn a lot. Jim

Hi Jim. I've never been a bike guy. They had one on display at costco and i got hooked. Its really enjoyable to ride. I wish the rallies were closer. It would be a lot of fun. I've seen only a few spyders on thevroad, but not when i wss riding mine. I got a windshield and driver floorboards installed. They were a good choice. I plan onriding thruout yhe winter, but they will be short trips. I think that will help me as i get some experience and it must be bettrr for the bike. Have a Happy New Year.

Hi Bob. I'm down close to delaware. I'm getting used to the spyder. I prefer to avoid travelling on busy roads. There are plenty of backroads that are enjoyable. I'll review the owners manual again. I reviewed it initially but need to check it again. It should make more sense now. I'm nlooking forward to spotting other spyder riders while I'm out cruisinh. I believe they sre slowky catching on. Haveva Happy New Year. Dave

Welcome to the club. I'm a newbie myself. Consider going to Spyderfest this spring. A bunch of us from the northeast are ryding together. I'm leaving from the DC area, but a few are coming from PA/NY/NJ and more!

:agree: If you want to meet a lot of really GREAT folks; join our group of Merry Travelers, and we'll get you there and back! :2thumbs:
