• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spider noise

:dontknow:
Mine does it at a lower speed than yours
then goes away after I go faster
It sounds like the old 3 speed manual transmissions we had back in the late 50's

....be straight cut gears....

And if it's not the gears in the gear box, then it could well be the teeth on the drive belt & sprockets, or even the grooves & sipes cut/moulded into the tread on the tires!! :sour:

But like others have said, you just need to ride more, worry less!!

All mechanical devices make noises, rattles, hums, whines, whistles, etc but that's just the nature of the beast - and our beasts are way more complex than most, with lots of opportunity to make noises that you've never heard before, plus (despite the whatever Tupperware there is) much of the stuff that's likely to make noises is exposed & very near to you, so they seem to make far more noises than say, your car!! But if you want to hear noises (almost all of them benign & perfectly normal) take your helmet off & ride alongside a solid wall or noise reflective bank!!

No need to worry about the vast majority of noises tho, just listen for the changes and the significant increases. And even then, most of those are normal too!! When you hear a 'bad' noise, you'll generally have no doubts about it!! ;)

For sure....

Ooooh I remember those...ground beef would quiet them down. :roflblack:

F-16

Mine sounds like a Turbine Engine, so I have been told by guys riding behind me starts at around 25 mph and the faster I go the louder and higher the pitch. Started when I installed the SmoothSpyder Belt Tensioner back in 2014
