• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Speedometer Accuracy

A funny thing when I checked my speed with the GPS, at a true 70 mph, the speedometer reads approximately 68-69 mph. What's funny is that with the old tire it was a good 5 mph fast, now with the Toyo its just off 1-2 mph. Cool.:D

I noticed this as well, my GPS was about 2 miles faster than my speedometer. Don't know what's up with that.

That is typical for most vehicles, especially motorcycles. Most speedos are calibrated to the actual inflated diameter of the tire (or largest standard tire for autos), without load. Under load the bottom of the tire flattens, making it effectively smaller. You don't go as far as calculated for each revolution, making your speedometer read higher than your actual speed. Lots of bikes are worse. Some of the older BMWs average 12% optimistic.

My Spyder consistently shows 5% over the radar gun. But according to Scotty's explanation the larger your a.. the bigger the percentage! :D
