• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Specifically...2010 RS owners

Hello y'all...
Sooooo, how are the RS (SM5) treating you. Many of you know of my '08 PE #2105 that had to be lemon lawed. I wanted to watch the progress of the 2010 and beyond to see if I want to try it again. I am scared of having to deal with any thing like my '08 ever again. I'm scared even more because of the dealerships closing, some of you have no where left with in reasonable distance to get it repaired. My locations may be giving it just this 1 last try only because of the new RT's, but '08~'09 SM5's are still around. So I am interested in any info and feed back to see how things are going with the 2010 RS...will I buy another ever again??? I will bump this occasionally, or watch for any replies.
Aside from that, something that would win my heart and get me to purchase one is to include the software and computer connector along with a bypass plug to override limp mode. To be subject to no repair or service because of this is one sour grape. A bypass plug for when you are on the road and no where near a Can-Am service or continue use if you need it until it's convenient or waiting for the parts that are causing this problem sure would be nice.
thanx

Sorry to hear that you had to get rid of your Spyder. I doubt that BRP could or would meet all of your requirements to win you back. I would guess that they ar trying to make a bike that suits many people well rather than a few people just right.

But some of these bikes are racking up some serious mileage and are still going strong. It is still the coolest thing on the road in my opinion. (There are no doubt cooler things out there, just not on the road) It is the only thing with less than four wheels that I want to drive. The price is right. They are a lot of fun. And like any love they sometimes give you some heartache.

I hope you see your way back to a Spyder.

2010 RS-S is a good investment IMO. Nice to see you back

I too am awaiting replies on the new new 2010 RS - I'd like to see if they have less problems. Guess it might take a while for a few people to ryde them first and report back. I do like your idea about Limp mode bypass!

Aren't the 2010 RS models the same as the 2009 GS models with a few minor exceptions? Does anyone know what the differences are?

anything new?

We ordered our RT and RS at the same time back in October. Just talked to the dealer today and he said we probably won’t see the RS till after March. The RT is supposed to be in sometime in February. Just doesn’t seem fair does it? As soon as we get the RS we’ll let you know.

Hey,

Glad to see you're gonna give the Spyder another try! I hope the 2010 works well for you...hopefully, since you've had more than your share of problems, your next Spyder will run without issues.

Gonna go with the blue?...sweet color! (I'm still biased for the bumblebee look though)...
