• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

1330cc Spark Plugs removal - what panels need removing for access??

can someone tell me what panels i need to remove to get to the spark plugs 2015 spyder rt 1330
There's a lot more to it than just panel removal. Air cleaner for example. Later today I'll look for the thread I posted a couple of years ago, with photos, about getting to the spark plugs. In the meantime you can probably find it by searching on my user name and search terms "spark plug".

From my second link:

All the forum guidance on spark plug access said something along the lines of "I don't think you need to remove the frunk but ...whatever reason... I did." They were correct: you don't need to remove the frunk. What you must do is lift and shift backwards is the upper half of the Spyder. Surprisingly it's not that hard. What's hard is knowing which fasteners to remove and which can be left in place. I am now facing the reassembly challenge. Which is an opportunity to clean 8 years of hidden road grime, repair broken bodywork tabs (only 3 so far, I'm happy), and change from Torx and hex fasteners to socket (Allen) stainless steel.

Spark Plug Access -- YMMV

:D:D:D Idaho -- before replacing my spark plugs, I read your excellent informative posts several times. And had my computer open at your posts when replacing mine. But...

First, consider removing the frunk. I can't say that it makes the job easier or not, other than it does get the air intake hose out of the way. I'd suggest you start the process and if it looks like removing the frunk will make it easier, then do it. I took the frunk off because I was changing the spark plugs and installing LED fog lights at the same time.

And everyone else took the frunk off although they all said it might not be necessary.

So I didn't take the frunk off (although I will some day to do the LED fog light thing).

I was just letting gabby know there were alternatives, although yours might have been easier but since I was replacing fasteners I went with mine. I really really like my stainless steel fasteners!
