• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Something wrong with this picture?

The tire are directional and will have an arrow on the sidewall indicating correct direction of rotation. :ohyea:

to my dealer and he'll have no trouble making it look that way!! :banghead::banghead:

It's a shame when the customer knows more than the dealership about the product. But not uncommon. Hopefully, you can straighten them... And your Spyder out!

I know there is possibly a cost to this, but I'd have another dealer check it out and have anything wrong fixed under the warranty.

Or, at the very least, I'd sit down with the General Manager and see if they may have had a junior tech working on your Spyder and if a senior tech can go through all of the assembly work. There have been no shortage of threads about defective Spyders that ended up leading back to dealers who did a poor job in the initial assembly process.

I think that goes w/o saying now! :(

It's the camera angle

Looks pretty close at just the right angle but the wheels still need to be swapped side to side. Look at the tread pattern in this pic which is correct.

Very nice job!

I thought this might be the case as the front end is all set up at the factory. The dealership doesn't do a thing to the front steering components.

As you look at the OP's picture you can tell it's not taken straight on. Though to the casual look it does appear to be. The slight camera placement (left) makes it look like the tire on the right is straight on. But it isn't really. With the inside tire always at a greater turn angle (the differential being greater as the turn angle increases), it appears that the OP's Spyder is fine. It is easier to tell with your handlebars that this is at or near lock position. Harder to see with his bars but still obviously a pretty sharp turn. So, it is not a true optical illusion, as you have proven here.

Look up Ackerman Steering Principle

My dealer has been sending me pix at different stages of my F3 LTD Triple Black build. Being a newbie to the :spyder2: , aren't those front wheels out of wack? Shouldn't they both be at the same angle??? :gaah::shocked::dontknow:

Tire orientation notwithstanding, consider that the inside wheel makes a tighter turn than the outside wheel, therefore must turn more sharply. It may look strange, but it works. See "Ackerman Steering Principle."

Look familiar...?

similar angle on the two front tires....Someday I will figure out how to flip the pictures....:dontknow:

Based on the pics it looks like it has a serious case of toe out. Should be entertaining to ride. Glad I'm not the test pilot. :banghead:

How about an update? Did you get the bike with the wheels facing the right way and going in the same general direction?

Yup. Get the bike next week but they switched the tires immediately!!!
