my old man stopped using sugar after he worked in a domino sugar plant in Brooklyn NY. i remember him telling me a story about when he was in the AIR FORCE, it was hard to get sugar, but he enjoyed it in his coffee. after he came out of the service and got a job as a electrician, one of the jobs he was on was the domino plant and he saw what goes on in making sugar. he said sugar would boil over the top of the vats, and the people would shovel it back in. but he said one day he saw a guy pee in the pile of sugar, then shovel it back into the vat. from that day on, he never used sugar again.
now i just read this story on facebook and it reminded me of what my old man told me. you can read the story and watch the video if you want. i figured i would post it this way so you can decide if you want to watch it.
