• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Some paint came off

front damage....

You are obviously traveling a too high rate of speed thus causing wind friction to force the paint loose....the solution is obvious:roflblack:

I see a yellow spot on the left edge of the 'bare' area but it doesnt look like a scuff mark

damn that baby needs a wash......:gaah::shocked::yikes:

Here are the pictures.. These are not the best. There are still bugs all over the front an makes the pictures look lie the front is all chipped up, but its not. I am gonna get the bike out an clean off the front real good an get some better ones.

How many miles are on this bike? The front end looks as if it has been sand blasted. That, plus improper use of the pressure washer could be the problem. I use a 2500 lb pressure washers all the time on my cars and trucks and have for years. I have never had or seen a problem except where a different problem already exists. Sand blasting or a poor repaint could lead to this kind of an issue. Maybe it was touched up before you bought it home.

Sandblasted?? Are you talking where the paint is missing?? As I stated before, it seems to be piss poor paint, cause our local car wash won't hardly cut mud off your car.

you need to ride it to Paducah tommorrow and show them.. that's terrible .. I have a spot that came up on mine..about the head of a pin, with black primer? underneath. and this machine has less than 10 miles and has never been out of the garage.. and the only washing it got was with a hose... yea , I know my bad..but I've so many hrs to be able to double them would be wonderful

The area above the damage looks as if it has been sand blasted by road debris in the pictures. It may be just the angle the camera was at when you took the pictures.

Paint defect

We have a 2102 RT limited. While cleaning, I noticed a small paint defect.About the size of this face: :sour:
It looked like the factory had painted over a piece of dust or something.
I was afraid it would eventually chip prematurely.
Took a bunch of pictures, sent it to my dealer, who sent them to BRP.
They authorized a new hood, which I had installed a couple weeks ago.

what did they say ..? and how was the gun show?

Told me that I needed to call BRP myself an talk to them.. I told him that I wanted them to see it first handed so that they new for sure that the bike hadnt hit anything.. Gonna try an call tomorrow after Dr app...

good luck on both counts... sorry they seemed to pass the buck.. but maybe you will have better luck dealing one on one, hope so

:agree: and finding another dealer. When I bought my RS I noticed a scrape on the rim about two weeks after I bought it. I told them about it (had bike with me), they said they would see if BRP would warranty it, but wished I noticed it sooner. Went home and looked at the photos I took when I picked it up from the dealer. One shot had me and the salesman standing next to the wheel, and when I blew up the photo 800 times you could see the scrape. Gave a copy to the dealer who forwarded it to BRP. BRP then replaced rim. The fact that the dealer took responsibility and was the middleman was one reason why I bought my RT from them.

As for paint coming off I have not found anything, but only use a garden hose, sponge, and bucket to wash it.

Me Too

The exact same thing happened to me, and in the same place. Mine isn't quite as bad as yours. I had a piece about the size of a penny blow off.
