• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

So I drop in at my local stealership...

I think it's too much for a 2014. I got my 2014 RT Limited with a 4yr Best Warranty on Holloween 2014 for 23,500 from Louis PowerSports. Talk to Dave...straightforward... No BS. He even helped me coordinate the shipping of my Spyder to my driveway. G-man transport only cost me $250.

See kbb.com
look at depreciation
make a fair offer
either they take it, or not.
You have to be comfortable with the deal.
No changes, 14-16

thanx...I saw that one and made note...Greenville TX isn't terribly far from New Orleans

for a fly & drive, I have to add in airfare to location plus probably at least a motel room

course, a kind & generous forum member might loan me a warm sleeping spot for a night after introducing me to their favorite salesman with deal in hand

I bought my F3S there and despite a couple of minor hiccups (mainly having to do with them being swamped that day), everything was great. Flew all the way from Seattle to get it. I would not hesitate to buy from them again. No, I am not affiliated with Louis powersports nor am I getting anything by saying this. I'd go for theirs if I were you. You'll still have to pay sales tax in your state if you have any. I did (and it's almost 10 percent in Washington!). I bought my plane ticket on Expedia for around $200 as I recall, stayed at Motel 6 (they have pools and offer a military discount) and got 35 or more mpg coming back so it was not bad financially, plus it was a wonderful adventure!

I purchase mine from lois Powersports in Texas and it was a great buy and had it shipped to Florida did not have to pick it up

I saw a pic of you sitting on a Spyder, on the FJR Forum. Thought you already bought one ! Jeez Mike, snap it up.

I bought a 2010 RT-S that a few weeks and 4 hundred miles later the clutch exploded, plugged the oil passages, destroying the engine
:yikes:

...Back to the issue of money (Yours), for a moment...
These are expensive bikes...nojoke
A couple of hundred bucks either way isn't even a spit in the ocean...
Find the bike that you:
Can Afford
and
Like the Best!

If you do all of this, at the dealership that'll give you the best service: you'll be Golden! :2thumbs:

and he has one new 2014 left...a black RT-S SE6 Auto

his offer is $24870 OUT THE DOOR !!!
Put the following into a Google search: 2014 Can Am Spyder RT-S SE6 site:craigslist.org. That'll bring up a bunch of hits around the country, most of them dealer ads. Peruse them and you'll get a feel for how the price you're looking at compares to other dealers.

Then there's this one. http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/...r-RT-S-SE6-Like-new-1-200-miles-Located-NE-PA. For probably about a grand you can have shipped down to you. How much in savings are you willing to trade for 1200 miles on the clock, and of course less warranty now?

which brings up the question...any differences between 2014 & 2015 RT's ???

RT-S listed at about $28K and change. The LTD went for about $30K. I have an RT-S SE6 in Yellow.

I would try for a few more accessories. The main difference between 2014 and 2015 is colors available.

Not a bad deal--but I think you might be able to do $1K to $2K better.

Asking that question is just like the oil or tire questions. You are going to get all sorts of different answers and prices vary depending on the market location you are in, going prices in the area, and how bad the dealer wants to make a sale. If it sounds like a good deal for you then do it and who cares what anyone else thinks.
