• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Snowmobiling in Wisconsin

It's been an epic month of Winter weather here in Wisconsin. As I post this on 3-3-2019 the local temperature will be -9/9 Below Zero tomorrow morning just south of Green Bay. Needless to say it's gonna be awhile before my Spyder comes out to play. In the meantime, I'm spending quite a bit of free time on the snowmobile. It's one of my past times during the winter months and I actually welcome the snow and cold. I've always felt that if I am to live in this kind of climate, I'm going to make the most of it. The gear and equipment we wear is second to none for protection from the cold. So getting cold is really not a problem. Another of my hobbies includes producing video from various activities and in this case I captured some seat time on our local trails here in the Badger state. I have a GoPro attached to my helmet and I use an editing program on our desktop for producing.

The machine is made by the same company that builds our Spyders, BRP. It features the 900 ACE engine that they're putting in the Rykers. In this application the engine is very quiet, smooth, and offering a ton of torque at low rpms. So, for those sitting at the Tiki Bar with your toes in the sand, here's how we roll in the friendly (but cold) state of Wisconsin.

Yup! A fantastic state for snowmobiling. We lived in Ashland on Chequamagen Bay. There were miles of frozen Lake Superior and all the wooded trails in the area.

Much less dangerous than AK. Here you have to be wary of avalanche conditions.

20mi west of Tomahawk here.Trails are the best I've seen in years!Smoother than the hwy out front! If it would quit snowing for more than 2 days so I could get caught up plowing, blowing, shoveling, roof raking and pushing back piles I could go enjoy them!I believe we've had 5ft of snow just in Feb!

Whoooooo hooooo, I was just finishing reading an article here in MN about the DNR's Speed traps for snowmobiling, there's a 50mph limit here on State run trails and they clocked a guy at 87mph recently. Presumably a nice long straight smooth and very snowy trail.

I was on Ski Doo Blizzard 1200 this past week-end on the trails in Vermont. Being on the sleds in the winter time helps me get to the motorcycle season quicker. Even thou I was out of work for about 2 months (due to a company lay-off, permanently). When the sled season ends I roll right into the motorcycle season( riding the spyder). I don't have much down time, between seasons( sled).

Great video, I live in central Minnesota and the trails are fantastic. I retired in 2014 and was looking forward to riding during the week, but we had very little snow since I retired so I never got to ride from home. This year I have been taking advantage of the snow. But we didn't have enough till the beginning of Feb.

We live just west of Madison. Sold our Skidoo a few yrs ago when it wasn't snowing much. This year has been a great year, considering its been so short. I still belong to our club and I groom the trails. I love running the groomer. Bring that Spyder down to Dane county sometime this summer!! HEck bring the sled down and enjoy the trails I groom...western Dane county.
