• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Sorry to hear that. Hopefully it will all be gone by this weekend! I will send you some blue skies and some warm sunshine to help it all melt in a hurry! Take care, keep warm and be safe. :yikes:

I got stuck in that mess just outside of St. Louis, I shut down as soon as it got really bad, I'm hoping its the last storm, seems every time I made a run out to the Midwest a new storm would pop up to mess up my schedule.:banghead:

Update from AK. They got 12 plus inches in Anchorage and the University cancelled all classes past 3:00 PM today.

Twenty five miles North, where I live, we ended up with about four inches. Could get an additional two to four but we will see.

RE: Springtime floods--There was a piece on floods on NBC a couple days back. They are predicting record flood levels for the Red River Valley--watch out Fargo--again. I am also guessing that is also going to translate to more of the same elsewhere. Time will tell--but hope it is not to bad.

Sounds like it will be like it was for Spyderfest II when there was a lot of flooding in an around Missouri. I hope it isn't too bad.

Must be the wrong Springfield. Springfield , MO got about 2 inches of snow in this latest event. Maybe that was for the entire winter season.:dontknow:

I'm a couple of hours northeast of Springfield and we got about 6 inches of snow and most of it is gone already. I'll be riding by the weekend, of course the weekend forecast is for rain.:banghead:

What I hear, and I could be wrong, is that the snow will melt and release water into the soil slower causing there to be less saturation. Some of the old men around here are saying that a snowy march in NY means a shorter"muddy season" and less flooding. I am hoping it all leads to dry summer days and rain only at night:pray:

Just sayin'............

Another AK tidbit. If you were living in Valdez, AK you would have received 53.7 inches of snow between Friday the 22nd and Monday the 25th of this week. That is way to much fun for me to shovel. I will bet they had a lot of fun keeping Thompson Pass open.

Fast melting snow

Fox News was reporting 18.5 in for yesterday

I guess it melts fast in Springfield.;) Here is pic off a MODOT Traffic Cam from about 5:30 this afternoon.:dontknow: I still suspect that Fox must have reported the seasonal total to date vs for that day. I have family in Springfield and they told me they had about 2 inches on Sunday.

hey guys here in Alberta(Sherwood Park) we got just over 26 inches in 8 days. Unfortunately its not melting very fast, still have pretty cool nights. My trip to Spyderfest looks pretty bleak. There is no way the snow will be gone by the 18th of April that's the day I was going to leave. With all that snow and riding the Spyder the air temps are pretty cold:banghead::banghead:
