• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Snow

No here yet!

But in the higher elevations they have snow/sleet and freezing rain tonight.

Also most time to get the sleds out.

Ya, you go girl!! Love riding the bike but love my sleds just as much!! Needed to use the trailer to move some stuff for my daughter, had to take the sleds out, well lets just say I had to go out back of the house and scare some worms before I got mine in the garage!!:yes::yes:

Not really looking forward to the snow this year. Usually just means for every 1" of snow = 3" of salt and nice coating of brine).

The highest mountain in the North East is Mount Washington, New Hampshire. Up there they have large chains to hold done the buildings because of the very strong winds.

How about prayer for the people of Paradise,Ca ( near Chico, north of Sacramento ) The town was evacuated and well burnt in a wild fire just 2 days ago. We really needed all that snow. At the last Nor Cal Spyder rally we met real nice folks from this now destroyed town of many thousands.

Lew, I have been in touch with some of those folks, they have been displaced, and most don?t know the status of their homes. One couple we rode with are from Magalia and from a report on the news last night, they may have a chance that their home is still intact. Sadly The same can?t be said for Paradise. That town looks like it was hit with a Nuke! You will remember, we rode right through Paradise on our way to Sierra Nevada Brewing. Very sad indeed. Locally we have raised over $1,000,000.00 to assist the Red Cross in providing assistance to these folks. Prayers indeed!

SMOKE

Those folks have lost everything they can use your help The Salvation Army is only
one group helping out.
I am about 90 miles south west of the fire area and the smoke here is BAD...
can you imagine what it's like there? :(

We woke up this morning to ten inches of "White Fungus" on the ground... and it was raining! :gaah:

Just about the perfect "Heart-Attack Snow"... :banghead:

The Missus is running her SnowThrower, I ran the "tools of ignorance", and the Office has been plowed out...

Now: we wait for Spring!

Well it started this morning, the first snow of the year, ground is already white and more coming to night.
40's next week so I might get in one or two more rides.....I hope!

Move to NWFL, we ride all year long. had a frost this morning, but 60 and sunny the rest of the day. (Picking up our new spyder in a few hours!) I do miss snow sometimes though (Grew up in WV)

Yesterday morning we had a little freezing rain. The roads were just a bit too warm for any ice to freeze on them.

This morning @ 4:35a.m. ( headed to work) I had 5 inches of the ( White Gold) snow on the ground. Last night they closed the schools for the day today. They forecasted 5- 8 inches of snow, but they upped the amount to 6 -12 inches of (White Gold) snow. There are several ski areas that are open now.

This is the week-end before "Thanksgiving" which will give the ski areas a boost. Next week it will be quite. Tomorrow they are forecasting rain, ( temps in the 40s).
