• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

SMALL 12 volt air compressor ?

my wife got me one from harley davidson plugs right into my battery tender or you can use a cig lighter outlet and it was under 30.00 amazing.
 
Stop & Go Mini-air Compressor

Just bought the "Stop & Go Mini Air-compressor" It draws only 6 amps which is the lowest I can find. I will try it in my DC outlet today and if that blows the fuse will run a two prong lead directly from battery. Will let you know how it works. Great size for storage. It is about 1/2 the size of "Slime Plug-n-Pump" which draws 10 amps.
 
Little checking..!!

you can search ebay, amazon for them. There are many and all work well. Been carrying one since the roadster was new but never had to use it. Sure if I leave it home I will need it..:roflblack:
 
I had one from Cycle Gear and it was crap. Now I have the Harley one and it is really good. I should mention that I use it a lot when we are doing alignments.
 
I read the BRP manual... it states only 3 amps.... what air compressor will run on 3 amps ?????????????????????????? it sure seems that BRP could have run a heavier gauge wire to feed the 12 volt outlet in the trunk... guess the outlet is only for decoration...

Slime's compressor had great reviews a few years back in Motorcycle Consumer News. I have one, but fortunately, haven't had a need to use it. Seems like it draws 10 or 12 amps. I set it up to run through my Gerbing heated clothing connectors, which are direct to battery connections with an inline 15A fuse on the positive line.

Good choice on the Stop & Go. Only pulls 6 amps and will plug into your battery tender. Just hooked it up this morning and it worked great. image.jpg
 
IMHO don't waste your money or time on one. Pick up a co2 kit instead. If you don't believe me try flattening one of your tires and then pumping it up with a small 12v compressor....
 
I have the one from slime works great, never had to use it myself but used it plenty of time to inflate a tire on a coworkers bike that had a slow leak.

IMHO don't waste your money or time on one. Pick up a co2 kit instead. If you don't believe me try flattening one of your tires and then pumping it up with a small 12v compressor....
....................Mr.Drew where can you get air check valve ( with gauge ) for the CO-2's in case I only want to add say 5 lbs. ?????.. Thanks ........Mike :thumbup:

What I noticed when looking for one is, you have to decide on what type of CO2 cartridges you wanted to use (threaded or Non-threaded). Im still doing research on the different kinds of applucators. I think the key to one of these is the ability to screw in the cartridge and that it screws on to the valve on the tire. This would help ensure all the CO2 gets into the tire versus trying to hold it onto the valve when you pop the cartridge. This would also be more beneficial for the rear tires on the RT's.

:agree:......For the rear tires on any Spyder you will need your own flexible extension hose ............just sayin .....+ I think these valves ONLY work with the threaded type of cartridge ,,,,but I don't see that as an issue ......................Mike :thumbup:

Whe nI was looking I didn't see any of the CO2 type with gauges. could you point me to a link where I might could find those.
