• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

SM 10 pairing

I have a Sena SM10 fitted which is paired to two 10Ss. Is there an ideal sequence for activating them. Is it best to switch on ignition and then switch on the headsets or the other way round. We are finding they don't always pair or just one will. We have to switch off the headset and switch it back on sgsin to get it to connect. Any ideas why.

I have 20s's, so i don't know if it is any different, but the way i found that works is to turn on the SM10 first. I do this before I even put the key in the ignition, then turn on the 20s's. I also have Tomtom Ryder GPS, I turn this on after the SM10, then I turn on the 20s as well. Mine will sinc up every time doing it in this order.

I have the SMH10 headsets The SM10 dongle and the Garmin Zumo 660
My sequence is about the same
1-Turn on SM10
2-Turn on SMH10
3-Turn on Ign
4-The Zumo will come on and automatically pair with my SM10
Then I am good to go

Thanks. In my case the SM10 is powered by the bike and turned on with the ignition as it's housed in the front trunk. Don't think that will make any difference. I have disabled the Bluetooth on my Zumo 590 and that comes on with the audio unit/music. I don't know if doing this is effecting the pairing. Likewise I can't have the two helmets connected and music at the same time, we have to toggle between the two .

There are two channels on the SM10. I had the same problem, until I realized that both helmets were on the same channel.

just been out and checked. One helmet is on the blue light and one on the red so don't think that's it. I thought that a BT signal could only connect to one receiving unit so I'm not sure it's possible to have both helmets on one channel.
Are you saying that you also could not listen to music and talk to your passenger at the same time and them having pairing the SM10 to your headsets again you could?
If so all I need to do is find out how to unpair all three and start again. And I thought Spyder steering took some learning.

Yes, I actually had both helmets connected to the red (second channel). Once I realized what I did, and put tone to each, everything worked fine.

Interesting. Think I will return the headsets to factory settings and start again. I'm convinced both channels on the SM 10 are connected as they both slowly flash and one stops if I turn off one of the headsets.

when I did it, One helmet would receive music but once the second helmet (20s) was turned on, the signal switched to the second helmet and The first helmet had no music.

No We don't get that. Sometimes just one of the helmets doesn't get the music. The cure is to turn that headset off and back on again and then we both have music. Still don't quite understand why we can't talk and have music all at the same time but maybe a reset will cure that. When I tested them this afternoon ensuring the SM 10 was on before the headsets they both paired with it straight away.
