There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Slow Water Leak

Looking at the attached pic you can see the slow leak from the gasket that drains down to the bolt near the white towel. What is this part of the motor? Water pump housing?

Its dripping less than 1/8 cup in 24 hours.

Possibly coolant, any leak spells trouble ahead. Get it fix before it get worst.

Its definitely coolant; you can see the green in the pic if you enlarge it. When I find out what that part is, I'm going to email the pic to my service dept and they'll preorder the gasket. At least I think they will as I have a good relation with them and they did give it a free look Wednesday but see any dripping. At that time I wasn't sure it was coolant, oil, or what.

I had a leak like that, it was actually the hose clamp above that, thanks to Lamont, I tightened the clamp, a ok since then

Thanks John. Will look at it again tomorrow. I can only take so much of getting down on my knees and such. Its a bitch getting old I don't care what anyone says! :D

Well..!!

the gasket seldom leaks make sure they order all the possibke parts. The water pump seal seems to be a hard find. Hope it is just the hose clamp. It's the only ckamp you can tighten but they some time have a light touch...

Your going to have to go a little deeper looking. I'm guessing water pump shaft seal leak. Look at the motor at the area level with the right side radiator. You almost have to look at it from the front looking back.
Take a peek at this pic. This is an aprilia cover but they are the same. The red zip tie is the weep hole shared and you may see oil or antifreeze. it leaks from there and runs around the motor.
If your still riding I wouldn't sweat it. Keep an eye on the level and wait til' it's to cold to ride and get it done. It's a pretty involved repair that takes some time, but not difficult.

Thanks guys for the info and pic. Thats what I was looking for; knew one of you would come thru with good info. Will keep an eye on the leakage and refill as needed. It will soon be too cold to want to ride much and will schedule it in then.

By then, the '14's will be in and I can drool over them when I drop mine off! :D
