this has been kicked about for a while here recently...and I will say it again...they need to classify three wheeled cars and three wheeled motorcycles differently. Texas has the right idea and they should include the T-rex, Elio (if ever produced)as well..jmo..
I think if I am seized by the belief that I have that much money to spend, I will buy a Miata.
Maybe your butt is not as close to the road but if it rains you have a top and if it gets really hot you have AC.
Randy,
Not all States classify vehicles in the same manner...
Here in New York: if it's got 4 wheels; you're in a car.
Less than that; you're on a motorcycle.
Other States seem to want to "Muddy-up" the waters a bit...
(Let's NOT give our elected Officials any ideas about what they could do to us, when it comes to these types of vehicles... :yikes![]()
You can't use the number of wheels alone to classify a car vs. Motorcycle. It just doesn't work. If we used that logic then all of these would be "cars". Have fun explaining that one, especially to that cranky goldwing old timer!
In California the Spyder is not a motorcycle, therefor no Motorcycle Liscence required.
Bob you have to remember it is side by side seating, that is a big difference
