• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

SITS and New DPS

For what it's worth--- Seth told me his opinion of the new DPS---- "Kicks serious :cus:!". He rydes harder than most - and considering he's only using his arms, I consider his opinion to be the real deal.

Seth would know for sure.. Cowtown is installing mine today, so more to follow.. I agree do not have major work done before a long haul Fly, I'm with you on that one for sure.. I'm headed to Minnesota during Columbus Day weekend so that gives me a week to test it, hope thats long enough but it should be and if its not right we all know Len at Cowtown will make it right before my trip but I'm sure I will have no problem with it.. Master Tech is all over it...

Raptor, I am glad to hear everything went much better than you had ever anticipated on the upgrades. What setting do you have the new RT shocks on? These are the mods that are going to be finding there way on my Spyder next as well.

Wolfen!! I just told Brian to max 'em out. I figured I could back it off a click if I needed to but I'm not going to do it. The rear is one click from max. Be advised that the ride is a bit rougher - but 14 is no pleasure cruiser anyway! I like it this way. I am finding now that the creases in the freeway and cracks that make you track into them - you know the ones I mean - don't hapen any more. I just glide right over them!

The other thing is that now that there is no body roll - I found myself picking up the front tire a bit more, so I had to adjust how I apply certain forces during exrtreme cornering - I am now going almost totally lateral now, tucking my inside elbow in a bit tighter and shifting weight more to the inside tire. It's a more extreme move on my part but it's fun! It actually gives me better vision on my line. I have ordered the side panel kit as a result because I am REALLY digging into the side panels now! But the bike just shreds. I can drift it easier now as well, so I can see the rear tire going away sooner than I anticipated. But I don't care - She shreds!! :ohyea:

:congrats: Raptor. Glad the RT shocks and the new DPS worked out for you and 14 is better than ever. Sounds like you have a very good dealer as well.

Thanks man! I have to say these guys have really taken good care of me. My tech Brian really knows these Spyders and I feel like he really listens when I talk to him about stuff. He works on both of our Spyders and so far they are running tip-top. I feel very lucky to have a tech like Brian looking after things!

Just got back from the dealer with the new DPS
45 mile trip home and it took some getting used to
I used to use a lot of pressure to turn
now just a little push is all it takes
so far I like it

:2thumbs:

You are making me anxious to start working on those mods next. First I need a new set of front tires, and most likely an alignment as well.
