Look forward to it! Think about a meet in Bend, then 97 to K Falls, 66 to I5, and a short stretch on I5 to 96 to 299 to Blue Lake. I'm spending two nights, then heading north on 101... Should be a lot of nice back road ryding...
I do hope they post the updated information on SITR 2014 here - I, for one, refuse to have any contact with Facebook, or other similar sites (& I classify myself as a computer nerd, but like my privacy...)
Personally, I look forward to the meet & greet time, meet with vendors, looking at other's farkles, a meal with folks I haven't seen for a while, then will head out. Usually, one day is plenty for me - but knowing what day would work, would be nice.
Personally, I could care less about the Eastern group hugs - don't ride there. However, I really enjoy the rides down to the Eureka area - glorious country to ride in, albeit a bit hot in August around Red Bluff & Redding.
Then there's the issue that I need a fair bit of advance planning to assure I have the time free to travel, so my planning has already started, with a reservation made.
I always try to avoid freeway travel, whenever I can - just too boring. So I'm looking at going from the Portland area, over to Bend, to K-Falls spend the night, then down toward Weed. It looks like I can avoid a stint on I5 by taking CH 12 to Harry Cash Rd to Lower Little Shasta Rd, into Montague, then HWY 3 to Yreka to HWY 283 to HWY 96 to HWY 299, then to Blue Lake. Anyone been on that route? Good road? Fun??
The alternative seems to be going all the way to Weed, then North a bit on I5 to pick up Gazelle Callahan Rd, to HWY 3 to HWY 299, then on to Blue Lake - this one looks to be shorter, at about 6 hours. Anyone been on this route??
Since I'm going back up the coast (101), weather permitting, I really don't want to both ways on the same route.
Squared Away will be there for sure. We will be offering more products in addition to laser alignments.
Last week we rode down 101 from Waldport OR to Leggett CA where the Chandelier tree is , coming back we rode CA 96 and it was a great ride of 147 miles of twisty's , the road was in good shape just allow about 4 1/2 hours for that stretch .

Is it first come first serve for the alignments or do you need an appointment? About how much will it cost?
