Just be happy. My spyder is in hibernation right now and I won't be able to ride it until the end of March!

chikensh#$t :roflblack:Almost in Hibernation here also. Last days of ryding:
Oct. 31st, Halloween Ryde
Nov. 11th, Veteran's Day, Parade Ryde
Dec, Our annual Christmas Parade Ryde
Not sure how I am going to handle the cold in Nov or Dec :helpsmilie:
That's it for me also, till March!
:yikes: I've been riding 50+ years, and sometimes feel like a drowned rat, in comparison. I've ridden that many times in the rain in a week! :yikes:I've been riding for 35 years, and have only ridden in the rain 5 or 6 times (no choice). I just bought a covered trailer & now take the Spyder for most of my weekend trips - if the weather's decent, out she comes, if not, she's locked & dry.... I avoid riding wet or when the temperture drops below 38.....

Riding in rain on a Spyder is a lot better than on a two wheeler.
Mike
The hydroplaning of the Spyder is a nuisance, but it is still the safest I have ever felt in the rain. I have only experienced hydroplaning once on a two-wheeler, and it sacred the bejeebers out of me. :yikes: I never want to experience that again! Worst part of two wheels in the rain is having to put down your foot in standing water at a stop. Don't have to do that on a Spyder. Not sure I completely agree with that statement, Mike. I have put a lot of miles on two wheelers over the years in the rain, and I have never experienced hydroplaning on one, whereas I certainly did have that happen on my way home from Gatlinburg on I-75. Granted, this only seems to occur where there is fairly deep standing water, but I would have sliced through it without a problem on my Kawasaki Concours. The Spyder, however, got a little bit exciting. As I started to skim and slide over the surface, I rolled off the throttle and it settled down, but it is a disconcerting feeling none the less. This is a handling characteristic that BRP recognizes and cautions us about in the Owners Manual, so I can't say I wasn't warned. :lecturef_smilie:
