:agree: My 2010 had the same issue where one of the turn signals would flash a lot faster than the other. If I recall correctly, one of my LED connectors was not completely wired right. It might also be a loose connection if you haven't added any LED or extra lights.[/QUOTE
So how does one go about checking the connector to make sure it is plugged in. I believe Nancy said to remove the mirror? How risky is that without breaking the mirror and get 7 years bad luck?
The entire mirror assembly pops off. That is the first step in removing the bodywork to service your Spyder, and the most likely cause of a loose connector.
Using ond hand to support the mirror housing and resist your other hand, rap sharply at the outside edge of the housing, toward the rear of the Spyder, to pop loose the front spring clip. Next, rap upward from the bottom at the outer edge of the housing to pop loose the bottom spring clip. Slide the housing straight upward about 1/2" to release the keyhole clip. then remove the housing. The wires will be there, but the connector is probably inside the console. Carefully fish it out of the body and it can be disconnected or checked. If there isn't already one in place, I recommend tying a small zip-tie around the Spyder side of the harness, leaving the tail. That will prevent the wires from retracting inside the console while you are working, but can easily be tukjed back inside the console when you button things up.
Reassembly is the opposite of removal. Make sure the spring clips are straight and parallel, lightly lubricate the conical posts if you wish, connect the wires, tuck them into the console, slide on the keyhole clip, then rap downward to seat the bottom clip, and forward to seat the front clip.
