My 2011 RT-S has been with the dealer for over four months! This does not include the previous three times it has been with the same dealer for the same thing...... limp mode home and no power steering. The steering actually went out while I was taking an off ramp and luckily I was able to control it before going into on coming traffic. BRP has even had their "techs" assist with the repairs and to date nobody has been able to fix it. :banghead: The only thing I hear from the dealer is " I dont know what is wrong with it" & " I just want to put this Spyder back in the crate and ship it back to Canada" ....... I guess I will just dust off my Suzuki cause I just want to ryde.
We have delt with this issue a few times now and without getting into boring detail and going on and on have your tech call us and talk to Randy. Randy Skeen is a true master on Spyders and Im sure he could help trouble shoot this. We would be happy to help out in any way, four months in the shop tells me the tech is over his head and needs to talk to someone in the field.BRP tech line can be helpfull but keep in mind they are only getting info from the dealer network, its the good techs in the field that are critical so we would really be happy to help you.

I THINK THEY ARE NATIONAL NOT STATE BY STATE
That is outrageous !!! One month would be more then enough to make my blood boil and demand my money back, not a new bike. If they can't fix it then they didn't build it right!! What guaranty that the next one would not be the same! Good Luck as it seems so many of us have not had your issues and Luck must have a lot to do with it!
BRP hasnt given me the total amount due to me in writting (they say they will but wont put it in writting)and they want me to sign a wavier that says that they are not at fault and neither is the dealer. Come on now just admit you made one bad bike out of (insert number here), cut me a check for the amount due to me, brand the bike as a lemon and lets get on with life. BRP gives me the impression that they dont care if I buy another Can Am Spyder , quad or anything. If the bike cant be fixed it shouldnt be allowed to be sold again without a branded title (lemon law) What if the steering goes out on somebody else and they crash and burn? All I hear from BRP is that once I sign the release I am no longer liable if somebody is injured or dies............ Really???? I could never live with my self if I knew that my old bike killed somebody or left somebody injured and a family devistated all because I didnt fight BRP to follow the law.
