• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have had the new swaybar on for just 24 hours but it is great! I was running the front shocks on 5 to help stop roll in corners but now have them on 4, with the new swaybar on its softer setting and the handling is still improved - the Spyder stays flatter in the corners. The front suspension does not seem mushy in the corners now- much more precise. I recommend the change! :2thumbs:

Next step will be the Elka suspension.

It definitely stays flatter and feels less mushy , even with the suspension dropped back to 4. It has made me try some more "aggressive" cornering and this morning I hammered into a small diameter round about and while starting to exit to the left I lifted the front RHS wheel about 2' in the air. It came down immediately with no VSS intervention (should the VSS have caught that?? - another thread) - yes this was low speed - about 30kmph and I may not have been quick enough shifting my weight - actually probably too quick!.
I guess this all has to be expected. I assume BRP made the softer sway bar for the same reason you cannot turn off the VSS - they wanted to "idiot proof" the Spyder. It makes sense that if you stiffen the sway bar and then put more cornering force into it it will lift sooner?
I am not concerned as I dont think this would be an issue in regular corners at speed. My experience has been that small diameter round abouts (and the road planners love their round abouts on the Gold Coast) - often with reverse cambers are the worst case for cornering forces on the Spyder.
On the open road and I have tried it on some local mountain roads, the Spyder feels much better on corners with the Evoluzione sway bar. Flatter, more precise and makes me want to corner harder. My next step is the Elka suspension Australian Spyder Ryders- Elka Suspension
