Shock advice from Cowtown

[Questions]

I got robbed on my 600 mile service then. Can't remember the exact figure since it was 3 or 4 months ago but it was right around 400. I complained hard since I was expecting under 200. I didn't even ask because I never fathomed it could possibly be in that range. Funny thing is they carged me 179 for the 3000 mile service. They Must have got my message, huh? I am in southern Maryland so unfortunately, no chance of making it to Cowtown for my service needs.

I did order my Elkas from John at Elka and he invoiced them through Cowtown. Always glad to help a great dealer. Any chance of opening a place in MD Len? ray:

Len this is off the subject but do you guys have any caps for the trailer module laying around. Some how mine is missing and I think I should cover the recepticle

If you're talking about the cover under the side panniers that goes over the outlet for the trailer pigtail, and Len can't help, let me know. I have several lying around someplace if I can find them. And I'll be riding up to your area in a couple of weeks so we could meet someplace, or I can drop one in the mail.

I just ordered my Elkas from Len at Cowtown. Len was great he explained how the Elkas would change my spyder handling and how to adjust them. If you are thinking about getting Elkas call Len.:thumbup:

Are these Elka shocks really that good?

Oh Yeah,they're "that good"!I've put the "one ways" on both of my Spyders. They are the best mod that I've done.:thumbup:

I liked the Elka's that I purchased from Len so much that I bought the rear Elka, not as noticeable as the fronts, but it does make a difference in the ride quality.

I bought 5 of those caps when I lost one, figured I'd either lose another or someone else would. Well, now I can't find the bag they're in. I suggest you take up Len on the one he has. Otherwise, I'll keep looking and let you know when they turn up. (That's the trouble when I leave things like that on the dining room table! lol)

Thanks Eraser, I'll see about scraping some $$$ together to try them. I had my 600 mi service and like Zotair it was +$400..... but I also had fog lights added.....

In my eyes......... YES!!! Put them on every demo Spyder I set up! With out fail shocks are my first and without fail mod! I'll put my money where my heart is, you want to try them out. If you buy them and don't like them?!? Take them off and send them back and I'll give all your money back including the shipping booth ways sir.

I sent Len a private message last night. Got my response this morning so I decided to call him. Sure is nice to talk with someone that doesn't mind answering some questions. He explained everything that I asked and a lot more.

Got mine on order. Can't wait to get them installed!!! If I get them installed by Saturday I'll be testing the out on the Blue Ridge Parkway this weekend. Otherwise I'll have to wait for awhile.

You should sell those shocks to a RS guy. I'm sure they would sell quick.

Correct me if Im wrong. I believe I've read something about this.

RS riders are putting on the stock RT shocks.

Obviously not as good as Elka but what benefit is there to go to the RT shock.
