• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Good evening. Well it looks like I'm gonna buy a 2014 RT Limited. Any suggestions on how to ship it from Tampa, Florida to Chicago? Thanks, Can't wait, Mike

Wouldn't it be more enjoyable to fly down & ride it back!! ;)

It's what, 1200 odd miles?? How many days travel would/could that take you? It is still 'riding season' over there, isn't it? Take a few days, enjoy the trip, get to know your new Spyder.... :D

And congratulations too! :2thumbs:

Riding it back would be the best but having it shipped would work as well. I had my first Spyder shipped to me from GA to FL. I used USHIP site and had different transporters bid for it and chose the best one after reading reviews and weighing in the price as well. I went that route because by that time I still didn't have my endorsement otherwise I would have made it a road trip. Good luck to u and congrats

Check out Haulbikes.com. They specialize in hauling motorcycles, ATVs, and PWCs, in trucks specially set up for that. The only downside is they won't commit to delivery in less than a month. That's because they haul when they have a truckload and all roads lead to Milwaukee.

hanks, great response as usual. Are Gmen only thru uship? I'd love to ride it back but time and having only taken a Spyder for a short test ride and weather stop me from doing that. Thanks, Mike

Fly down, rent a truck and haul it back yourself? That's what I'd do if I didn't have the time to ride it back. I'd just wanna know who's handling my bike. Of course costs play a pretty big factor as well. Good luck, whatever your decision.

Speak to Gabriel at DVTRANS.com Gabriel@dvtrans .com. Shipped my :spyder2: from Chicago to NYC in 3 days. I couldn't be happier with the communication, price, or professionalism.

I've used UShip for numerous hauls. My first Spyder, ATV's, and a few tractors were all delivered on time, in the condition they were purchased and for a lot less money than "conventional" haulers were quoting. Good luck and enjoy your new ryde.

I was just going to mention UShip... There have been a fair amount of good reports in here about them.

Be careful with USHIP. it could just be some guy that has a pickup. make sure they are dot and mot licensed. that's why I didn't end up using that site.

This doesn't help the OP, but I just saw a POD moving ad and was thinking, that might be an idea if you are moving. Don't know the cost, but you are in total control of the "packing". You'd need to figure out tie downs, but a thought.
