• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Shiney stuff?

Has anyone installed any of the new chrome stuff for the RT-S? I just did the handle bars, peg mount backing, mirrors, exhaust tip and heat shield, grip ends. What a labor intensive deal. I'm quite adept I thought in doing this type of mod, but OMG, way more time than I expected. If it's body colored, you will take it off. All that said, I'm happy with the look.

:2thumbs: looks great wish BRP would have done this a factory when building the :spyder:If you every order a :spyder:now I guess you could have it done an accessories. Pull mine off. your right it is labor intensive Send to have chromed (thinking it would be cheaper)because of the prep time to get it chromed most of the parts was going to cost me more money than if I order from BRP.Needless to say I order the parts now just waiting for them to come in.

Here's a few shots from my "Shiney Stuff" mods.

Awesome,............. Question Is the handlebar just a cover, that goes over the existing? and was that part allot of work to install? I will have a follow up ? too.

Also what's the story on the bottom photo, looks interesting.

I too first took a couple of pieces to a local chroming shop and was told the same story. Lots of prep time polishing before the chroming process.

That's the aux audio cable that I installed on the switch panel. Have a cable running back to the trunk. So I can use my GPS or iPhone with GPS ap and can still use the touch screen on the iPhone. Works great.
:2thumbs:

And even though BRP info says handlebar cover, it's actually a new piece. Major job to install. Had to remove the whole top console.

Love the aux audio jack. Where did you find that cable?

Man that looks great :congrats: How hard was it to do the bars?

Major job! Had to take off all of the console. Look at the pdf instructions before you start. Took me over 4 hours to take it apart. Actually spent 14 hours doing the project. The instructions suck! But after all is said and done, I love it.
The BRP info says handlebar cover, but it's not. It's a complete replacement.

Thanks, Lamont for all of your great info. I have learned alot.

My husband calls it "safety chrome" and he always says safety first. It does make one thing go faster, that is the cash out of your wallet!

Looks great but too rich for my wallet
